“Hit her back, she gets to vote.” More wisdom from Reddit.

What the fuck is wrong with Reddit these days? Today, the denizens of AskReddit are debating the topic: Is it wrong to hit a woman? You can probably figure out what the consensus is. (Hint: Two letter word, starts with N.) What’s especially striking is how, well, gleeful the discussion is. Redditor after Redditor weighs in with the exact same opinion on the subject; others reply with jokey assent; everybody gets upvotes, sometimes hundreds of them. This exchange captures some of the flavor of the, er, “discussion” there:

From AskReddit.

These aren’t people arguing dispassionately that in the interest of equality we should treat hitting women the same as hitting men, and that ideally no one should be hitting anyone at all. These are guys (mostly) using the topic as an excuse to complain about “bitches” and their rights.

Others, meanwhile, decided to use the topic as masturbation fantasy fodder, suggesting  that the original poster had missed his chance for some hot sex with the woman he slapped. As toothsayer put it:

The single slap is disrespectful, shows that you are pissy bitch, and will not get you laid. However, catching up to her as she is walking away, scooping her up, bending her over the knee and repeatedly spanking that ass would have led to some seriously hard core sex.

47 upvotes for that hilarious suggestion.

Perhaps all of the commenters should simply up and move to Topeka, Kansas, where the city council is considering decriminalizing domestic violence in order to save a few bucks. Seriously.

Note: Once again, I have the fine folks (no sarcasm here; they actually are fine) at ShitRedditSays for pointing this discussion out to me. Here’s the SRS discussion of the whole stinky mess.

I pledge: my next post will have nothing to do with Reddit.

Women would be (for the most part) soft, lovely, affectionate, playful, tranquil, and alluring

I’d tell you to get a pet, but I’m also against animal cruelty.

Pecunium, what planet are you from??

Even if I did want a woman as a “slave” or a “pet” ,the way you–and some of your echo chamber–on manboobz keep chattering on about, the fact remains that whipping, beating, confining, or otherwise terrorizing her would NOT produce worthwhile results!

I am no expert in psychology, least of all not the psychology of women–if there is such a thing(you aren’t either)–but even I know that to elicit responses that I want from her, the responses characterised by e.g. affection, charm, allure, compliance, tranquillity, and happiness, especially happiness at my being around her, that my acting in a brutal, intimidating or sadistic manner would be utterly counterproductive and useless. A man gets much more joy from a woman purring and cooing with pleasure than shrieking in terror or agony!

It is feminists who are always demanding a “power struggle”, always demanding their deranged version of ‘equality”, always seeking opportunities to promote themselves, at your risk and expense. You take them far too seriously! When I hear of a feminist being exposed to her so-called “spousal abuse’ or “domestic violence”, I am not exactly happy, but I, along with everyone else, knows that she probably got what she deserved in the end! That doesn’t say ANYTHING about normal women, however!

The kind of women whom I love would be the exact opposite of the feminists described above! There would be no need to, and I wouldn’t want to be, cruel or vicious to them, because they would return love for love! Those are real “free and liberated women”. They are free to BE women, physically, emotionally, sexually, spiritually and every other way.

I think that John Norman, and Gor sagas, were trying to make that point and it is a point well taken! Even on Gor, slavegirls were often cherished, loved, and enjoyed being the number one focus in the “master’s” life! Did the so-called ‘free companions’ ever enjoy comparable regard by their mates; their “dignity” as “free women”, notwithstanding? Asking that question answers it!

Maybe the equality these feminists brainwash themselves about ad nauseum isn’t all that it is supposed to be, especially not for women?

Food for thought.

This pretty much says it all about Meller.

Those are real “free and liberated women”. They are free to BE women, physically, emotionally, sexually, spiritually and every other way.

For Meller, “freedom” is apparently the freedom to fit within his archetype of you.

Slavish subservience = love
Equality = not so much

But rest assured, Meller doesn’t want a slave! He wants a woman who loves being a slave. And if she goes around insisting on equality with her spouse and gets abused by her spouse well, hey, she got what she deserved.

“A man gets much more joy from a woman purring and cooing with pleasure than shrieking in terror or agony!”

… uh, do any women here actually purr or coo? I haven’t been with a lot of girls, but I didn’t think this was the usual response to *anything* during sex.

Also, DKM seems to have actually read the Gor novels! o.o Good guess, Pecunium!

DKM: Repeat after me: What floats my boat doesn’t float everyone’s boat. The way I like women isn’t how everyone likes women. The way I want to live isn’t how everyone else should live. If women don’t want to be perfect loving subs, there is on way on God’s green earth I can require them to do so.

So Meller, since this mythical woman would be human-is she allowed to have opposing opinions on anything or should she just be muted because you are always right even when you are wrong?

No shit. You think you needed to tell us that? Trust me, we picked up on it.

Here’s some of that Gorean Wisdom on how to treat women:

I have wondered upon occasion why brands are used on Gorean slaves. Surely, Goreans have at their disposal means for indelibly but painlessly marking the human body. My conjecture, confirmed to some extent by the speculations of the Older Tarl, who had taught me the craft of arms in Ko-ro-ba years ago, is that the brand is used primarily, oddly enough, because of its reputed psychological effect. In theory, if not in practice, when the girl finds herself branded like an animal, finds her fair skin marked by the iron of a master, she cannot fail, somehow, in the deepest levels of her thought, to regard herself as something which is owned, as mere property, as something belonging to the brute who has put the burning iron into her thigh. Most simply, the brand is supposed to convince the girl that she is truly owned; it is supposed to make her feel owned. When the iron is pulled away and she knows the pain and degradation and smells the odor of her burned flesh, she is supposed to tell herself, understanding its full and terrible import, I AM HIS. Actually, I suppose the effect depends greatly on the girl. In many girls, I would suppose the brand has little effect besides contributing to their shame, their misery and humiliation. With other girls it might well increase their intractability, their hostility.

The Goreans have a saying, “There are only two kinds of women, slaves, and slaves.”

As I have earlier indicated the slave girl is normally transported in total ignorance of her destination. Keeping a girl in ignorance is commonly thought useful in her control and management. Too, it helps her keep clearly in mind that she is a slave. Curiosity is not becoming in a Kajira is a common Gorean saying. The girl learns quickly that it is not her business to meddle in the affairs of her master but, rather, to be beautiful, and serve him, abjectly and totally

What happens when a woman does something she shouldn’t?

“Who are you? What do you want?” I begged. “Curiosity,” he said, ” is not becoming in a Kajira.” I stared at him. “You might be beaten for it,” he said.

Then again, there is this: Excellent slaves are seldom beaten, for there is little, if any, reason to do so. To be sure, such a girl, particularly a love slave, occasionally desires to feel the stroke of the lash, wanting to feel pain at the hands of a beloved master, wanting to be whipped by him because she loves him, in this way symbolizing to herself her relationship to him, that of slave to master, her acceptance of that relationship, and her rejoicing in it.

Of course we have to recall that, Woman is the natural love prey of man. She is natural quarry. She is complete only when caught, only when brought to the joy of her capture and conquest

The “joy of her capture and conquest”, which she spices up by getting herself whipped every so often.

Meller thinks this is a good way to live.

I wonder why he can’t find a “good” woman, it being so natural, and all.
