“Feminism was born out of a PR campaign to get women to smoke cigarettes” and other fun “facts” from Reddit

Typical feminists, according to Reddit

A redditor called fxexular has put together an amazing compilation of fun “facts” about feminism from assorted Redditors. It’s a bit like reading the descriptions of an elephant offered by six blind men who are also drunk misogynist assholes. Among my favorites:

feminism, at best, focuses on relatively trivial female issues instead of grotesque male issues and at worst is pure man hate.

feminism. Where the most privileged people in society can whine about their “oppression of opulence.”

Feminism is about strong males using law to further marginalize weak males.

The ruling class uses feminism as a tool to keep men, young men and boy’s down

It’s like pissing in a bucket of water – piss enough, and you’ll dilute the water to mostly piss. “Feminism” is a bucket of piss these days, from all the crazy and ignorant that attached to it over the years, especially the past decade when it became a fad.

feminism destroys men’s confidence and sense of satisfaction in being male.

every feminist is a abuser or a abuser apologist or a shield for other abusers.

Feminists don’t even think of men as human.

Most women and feminists view gay men as accessories.

these feminist nut cases have only one goal: total female supremacy at the expense of men. Fuck every last one of these haggard harpies. Fuck ’em all.

I used to hold doors, I dont anymore. I just let it slam in the face of whoever is behind me b/c I have been publicly embarrassed by many a feminist for being polite.

Feminists are like witches, but this isn’t the The Land of Oz, Dorothy. There are no “good” feminists.

Brainwashed weak feminist men are a favorite of feminists. They don’t treat them very well, but they use them to great effect.

i’m mad as hell at the way men are treated by the feminist gynecocracy

The people who dismiss /mr are like abusers; they’re looking for any excuse to piss all over something they know is logical and true because they can’t handle it emotionally.

Many feminists do hate men and want to emasculate them. While I’m thankful for the few who don’t I feel that their silence allows the groups like NOW to exploit men and women alike for their own aims.

I know it sounds good to believe that feminism was always about equality but go and read up on the first wave suffragettes. They were basically domestic terrorists in many cases.

The feminism of the 60’s also lead to the vitriol hatred of men.

I suspect that the butt-ugly women who started feminism in the 60’s were confronted for the first time with an efficient mating market (after the sexual revolution), and they couldn’t stand “losing” to the pretty girls

[Feminists’] entire shtick is to repeat misinformation and when that fails bust out the unsubstantiated personal attacks

Yeah, no irony there!

I think this one is my favorite, though:

I will never socialize with feminists after I learned the darkness of their philosophy.

Most of these quotes are from the Men’s Rights subreddit. Every quote in fxexular’s list that I went to look at in context had gotten more upvotes than downvotes. So they must be true!

EDITED TO ADD: Oops! Forgot the link. I added it above. And here is is again, just in case.

Go back to your library, feminist grrrrlz–enjoy your:
Military history/ women warriors/ ancient world/ source materials (if thats what they are). I have more useful, worthwhile and enjoyable things to do!

You are really really mad that I showed you up with that craptacular remark you made about Genghis Khan et al, aren’t you?

“I have more useful, worthwhile and enjoyable things to do!”

So go do them. Unless your idea of a hot Saturday night is coming here and having us use you as a chew-toy. In which case, hey, everyone has their kink.

Genghis Khan, by the way, was a woman.

In that language Genghi is the male name and Genghis (with an s) is the female name.

Blow jobs were always considered sexually deviant in most (all?) cultures until the mainstreaming of porn by the West.

Citations needed.

I find it really, really, really, really, really, really difficult to accept that David K. Meller is an actual person and not, say, a poorly written character in the worse movie ever. Or maybe the most pathetic character in a sad, quiet arthouse movie meant to explore the depths of human depravity.

What do you suppose these useful, worthwhile, and enjoyable things he has to do are? I’m guessing most of them have something to do with a sock and a bottle of lotion, but I’m open for suggestions. Yelling at kids on the lawn? Hoarding hard candy in a bucket? Reading Archie comics? What?

Oh come on Pecu, everyone knows Genghis was one of us 😉

As far as the blow job thing, my life growing up abroad and then travelling as an adult is enough evidence that blow jobs are not mainstreamed everywhere and only became mainstream here in the States (and something that is expected from women whether we like it or not) since porn has gone mainstream.

Most of the reactions to the idea of it I’ve gotten from women are that the majority of us think its gross.

And then of course there’s the Kama Sutra which says a man should not expect it from his wife but there is a section of low class prostitutes and “barbers” who will oblige for the right price.

LOL.

To expand: If we are going to hold other to standards, we have to do the same.

And the sacred carvings of India Certainly don’t imply that blowjobs were seen as horrid, unseemly or perverse.

Neither do the writings of Rome, the Uki-e woodcuts of Japan, the writings of Elizabethan England, the Inquisitors chasing after the Cathars in Provence, etc.

Quite simply, people like sex, in all it’s forms. The idea the modern age is amazingly different from the past, in this regard (which is different from the ideas about whom/when one could legitimately engage in sex), is false.

The second is direct emperical knowledge. That works for me.

Men try to pass off a lot of porn as something that “everyone is doing” so that they can do things like demand blow jobs, cum on the faces of women, etc.

Blow jobs became mainstream in gay porn before they did in straight porn. Makes sense. Gay mean need an orifice to substitute for the vagina. The mouth is one of them.

It later crossed over into hetero porn and now Western men try to pass it off as a universally accepted and mainstreamed hetero sex act.

That might work for today’s under 60 Anglosphere woman, but not for the rest of us.

Those carvings in India were not “sacred” per se, precisely why they were on the OUTSIDE of (a very few) temples and not on the INSIDE.

Plus, they had carvings of beastiality too.

I can’t really say what the majority of women think about blowjobs, but my own experience would suggest that finding them distasteful isn’t exactly a universal sentiment.

Agree with what Societal Contract says about blow jobs, that’s my experience too.

BTW, what’s the difference between a parlour and a living room?

I really want to know what his life is like on a daily basis. I’m trying to imagine DKM getting up in the morning, eating a bowl of cereal, going to work — where the fuck does he work? — maybe hanging out at the bar on Friday night if he feels he did a good job that week. Does he interact with others on a regular basis? I can barely imagine him going to the supermarket without attempting to devour his credit card whole.

DKM doesn’t use a credit card at the supermarket. He uses cash. He keeps his coins in the little pocket in his trousers, and takes ages to fish them out and count them into the hand of the youngest checkout-chick he could find, while he leans over her and ‘flirts’. 😉

I don’t think there is much a difference.

I gotta ask, Meller…

Would you like to be in the hands, and submissive to the will, of a woman whom you trusted completely, who cherished your mind–what there was of it–your body and handsome good looks, and your spirtual qualties, a woman who loved you with everything she had, and that you KNEW that you were the center of her universe?

And if not, why not?

All I want to know is whether DKM finishes every conversation by shouting “PEACE AND FREEDOM”. His conversations with cahierettes no doubt consist of his incredulity about why she is working at a store rather than sewing or giving a blowjob or doing something else soft and cuddly. After which the “PEACE AND FREEDOM” simply cements their impression of him as a deluded weirdo.

All right, who is the primatologist who slipped the Bonobo chimps all that porn?

Dracula

I dunno, Meller strikes me as more the sort to seethe in silent fury at the imagined faults of the woman standing line in front of him, maybe make a few snide remarks under his breath, then vent all that pent-up anger onto the internet when he gets home.

Pecunium

The second is direct emperical knowledge. That works for me.

Nope. NWO and Brandon, and MRAL, and DKM (for what his irrational ravings are worth) and AntZ and Paul Elam and a host of others, all cite,”direct empirical knowledge”.

I can cite my experience, and the reports of women I know, for how many women really like giving blowjobs. I can cite it from well before porn went mainstream.

At best It’s a singular event, and subject to loads of confirmation bias. At worst it’s special pleading.
