It’s time for another random creepy comment with dozens of upvotes from The Spearhead! This time the commenter is a fella named Rebel, envisioning an epic future battle between the ladies and the dudes.
Women are engaged in a “holy crusade” against the male gender.
If men rise up, they will face an enemy who is willing to die, rather than give an inch. Women are possessed, their brains are anything but human.
They are lost to us.
I read that the universe is trying to acquire consciousness through us humans.
Some force is holding us back in darkness and we know what that force is.
Darth Vader? The CIA? The IRS? Cats? Oh, wait, ladies. Right?
If men revolt, the ensuing fight will come to epic proportions.
What’s at stake: nothing less than civilization.
But there’s a surprise ending! If you’re a dude, and want to avoid this epic battle, you can just move south of the border:
Is there an escape?
I think there is.
It’s called South America.
At least for now.
Hmm. South America didn’t work out so well for (SPOILER ALERT!) Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
But I guess Rebel knows this, because he ends with:
But if men are not prepared to fight an unnatural war, they will be reduced to slavery (at least those lucky enough to avoid elimination).
Yipes.
On a completely unrelated note, my cat has taken to drinking out of cups. Putting her whole head in them to do so. It’s the cutest damn thing.
I guess that’s not a completely unrelated note, as she’s been waging an unnatural war against me (and everyone else) since I first took her in as an overgrown kitten, barefoot and pregnant, more than a decade ago. Thankfully I am much larger than she is, otherwise I’d be dead.
AntZ: Men will no longer fear the police officer of civil judge in the daylight.
I don’t think you are clear on the concept, because I don’t fear this, not in the least little bit.
Addendum: I do not fear it as the result of any actions I have taken toward any woman.
There are plenty of reasons I am leery of the police, those reasons will not go away if I am living in a world absent of women.
@blitzgal
If you don’t want to understand then don’t.
And if you can’t explain it, then don’t bring it up.
@Antz
If you don’t want to understand then don’t.
1) Make a list of the 10 worst things that can happen to a person. It does not matter what kind of thing you prefer. Violence, health problems, psychiatric problems, extreme poverty, homelessness, social dispossession, youth and adolescent problems, family loss, etc. Then, for each item on your list, find out the proportion of men and women that experience this problem.
You didn’t. Motherfucking. Substantiate. Your motherfucking. Truth Claim.
Do it. Now. Links to studies that found evidence that men are the oppressed gender.
Stop with your weaselly bullshit. Substantiate your motherfucking claims with motherfucking data.
@cynickal, and other male feminists:
Ordinarily I pay no attention to you, because of the role you have elected to play. I have never made personal accusations against you (along the “pet lap-dogs of feminism” line) because nobody has a personal story that matters — not me, not you. I have never pointed out the inconsistencies in your reasoning because your transparent motivations make it a waste of my time.
However, I will make an exception today, because I think every person deserves the chance for redemption.
This is the best article ever written for “A voice for men.” It is about you.
http://www.avoiceformen.com/feminism/the-one-good-man/
I, for one, would love – I mean, fucking love- for you to point out anything substantive about anyone’s reasoning. I would love to see you actually point out these inconsistencies. Please, do it. Please offer something besides erroneous use of the word “species”, sci-fi babble, and hyperbolic rhetoric.
Go for it. Seriously. I am all “ears”.
@Pecunium
“There is a discriminatory effect. It is justifiable, because the need to be certain that, at their worst, the people who are operating motor vehicles are able to distinguish obstacles and understand signage at a reasonable distance require some sort of test.”
That’s what the nazis said when they killed Jews, it’s justifiable.
That’s what the communists said when they killed the christians, it’s justifiable.
That’s Pol Pot said in about genocide, it’s justifiable.
That’s what every tyrannical Government thruout history has said about oppression and discrimination, it’s justfiable.
So you equate poor vision with blatant, “justifiable” oppression and discrimination of men? Is that your comparison?
Me, with my warped sense of values. All this time I thought oppression and discrimination were never, “justifiable.” Thank you for enlightening me about womens justice! I’m glad colleges teach us that men deserve to be oppressed and discrimnated against for being born men, and it’s “justifiable.”
Antz, stop reading bullshit. Stop spouting bullshit. You remind me of a guy who believed the government was spreading the common cold through jet emissions. Not everything is a fucking conspiracy.
AntZ, if your’e going to keep linking to laughably stupid sites, my mockery of you will only escalate.
Pretending that politicians, who possess the power to end lots of oppression against women by enacting mandatory legislation to end the wage gap, and can create regulatory power that actually enforces current laws against employment and promotion harrassment, are on the side of women? The ones who allow case law to completely destroy de-tooth most rape laws? Those are on the side of women? ARe these the politicians who are making abortion harder, the ones who roll back welfare? Motherfucking stupid.
Pretending that priests, as an aggregate, are a friend to women? We’re talking about the leaders of slut shaming, victim blaming asshats right? Fucking hell, I guess that makes you Stupid Supreme (It’s like a Sorcerer Supreme of Fail).
Pretending that male feminists think women are perfect? Utter bullshit (One of my close friends is a dude feminist; he routinely laughs at jackassery from women too, where it occurs). Shit, man, I’m sure Pecunium or Cynickal could sing you songs about say, Michelle Bachmann.
Somehow, I don’t doubt that.
Links to studies that found evidence …
600 women’s studies University departments vs zero male studies University departments => feminists always ask for “studies.”
This is why MRAs ask for EQUALITY. Once we have 600 male studies University departments, you will have your “studies”.
Kristin,
there are a lot of arguments about the definition of species, but my biology professor prefers “do no interbreed” or “will not interbreed” rather than “cannot.” The primary example of why this matters is in birds. Birds tend to choose mates based on songs or mating dances and things like that, and those are often the first thing to change enough to prevent interbreeding. There are a lot of closely related bird species which are biologically capable of fertile interbreeding, they just don’t breed because their songs are different.
If that’s the standard you applied, then it would be fair to call men and women different species if they never chose to mate with each other, even if it remained biologically possible.
Ok, ill bite. 10 things.
1. mental illness-effects everyone. Depression is something women experience twice as often as men, and alcoholism is something that men experience twice as often as women. Most other mental illnesses effect both genders equally. I’m not gonna name them all. Help is accessible to both genders.(In Canada, where I am, I have first hand experience with that.) Help is less eccessible in third world countries. Also: Stigma.
2 Poverty-Worldwide, women are dispreportionaly poor because of gender descrimination. Many women are denied education.
3.Abuse- There are all types of abuse. All of them are unnaceptable. Sexual abuse effects women more often then men. However, men DO get sexually abused, and they are afraid to speak up (just as women are) there is an increasing number of support groups for them.
4. Aids and HIV- still a worldwide problem, especially in Africa. Again, dispreportionatly affects women, as many women are raped by people who think that the desease will leave them if they pass it on to another. (This was explained to me by a close friend, and a nurse who has worked for years in Africa treating people with AIDS.)
5. Cancer- Prostate cancer is a huge problem among men, and breast and ovarian cancer a huge problem for women. There is treatment for both, and many people are raising awareness for both.
6 Reproductive rights-An ongoing battle for bodily autonomy, more of a problem in the States and other parts of the world then in Canada. This is a women’s issue. Childbirth is dangerous, and a women should be able to make decisions about their sexual health, just as men are.
7. Gay rights- I mention it because it’s a huge issue, but I don’t know about how gender plays into it. I’m not sure if gays are descriminated against more then lesbians, or what. No idea. Maybe someone who knows better will be kind enough to step up.
8.education-men have better access to education worldwide. In first world countries, women are doing better then men in post-secondary.
9. Violent crime- Is increasing among youth, especially females in Canada. This is associated with disfunctional family life, and financial problems to name a couple. However, statistically, men are more likely to be openly aggressive, and more likely to commit violent crimes. Women and men are are generally victimized by different types of violent crimes, with women being more likely to be victimized in general.
10. Unemployment-I haven’t been able to get much. According to Canada’s goverment website “There was a significant decline in the average length of unemployment for both men and women between 1997 and 2009. However, the average duration was consistently higher for men than for women. For men, the average length of unemployment decreased from 28.7 weeks to 17.7 weeks. For women, the duration decreased from 23.6 weeks to 16.1 weeks.” Unfortunatly, I don’t have anything more recent, or international.
In other words, you claim ideological bias, without actually looking at the data. Good show. That makes your opinions very valuable, in that they are worthless.
Here’s an opener from a non-university.
http://www.bls.gov/opub/mlr/2007/07/art3full.pdf
Dozens more, of university work, because that’s what the data indicates.
Antz. The reason you don’t find many male studies, or male history courses is because that would be redundant.
That link was fucking nutballs. It was like some middle schooler’s poem, but whinier. 😀
Oh excellent; I’m not the only one who read that poorly written, pretentious bull-shit. Wow. This is poweful and inspirational?
Logical fallacies and stoned freshman-philosopher writing style. Dude, that was deep.
AntZ’s link, I mean. Seriously:
Tell me honestly, dudes of Manboobz, are you just in it for the adoring harem? XD
Politician: “Beating women and raping them is wrong.” OMG I’m gonna get so laid!!“
Also also also! The Illuminati is run by feminists!!! I know right!? =D
Zarat, what are you doing to create males studies departments? You think that this is important, right? You’re so outraged that a program for male studies has been mocked that you regularly assert that it is under attack from feminists when it clearly is not.
So what are you doing to create male studies departments within existing institutions? What about outside of existing institutions? You’re always telling us that your movement is growing; that you all are already succeeding.
Where are your proposals? Your fundraising efforts? Your affiliated scientists, sociologists, statisticians, etc.? This is important. You need 600? Where is the effort?
Gay Rights Movements in the US continue to be haunted by the specter of being run by mostly-privileged, bigoted white dudes in their formative years. GLBTQQ is the worst alliances for a number of reasons, but the massive racism and misogyny of the early years is a big part of it.
I know that racism in the gay community is a huge problem. I find racism and sexism tend to go hand in hand.
Lolz. Hey guess what? *conspiratorial whisper* Men’s Studies classes are under the Women and Gender Studies umbrella at most schools.
Nuts, right? That’s why it’s called “Gender Studies!”
