So sorry Dave, I was a tish tired this morning. I’ll be sure to hang on every word you print from now on. Keep in mind I have poor grammar, math, reading, comprehension and logic skills. It’s tough being on the same thread as the perfect one’s.

Not sure what “tish” means. The dictionary doesn’t seem to have it.

Oops. The apostrophe went in the wrong place. I blame HTML for confusing me. Yeah, that’s the ticket.

Cool, see you (Ami and Spear and maybe Brett too) tomorrow!

Thanks all for the kind words regarding my breakup.

In other news, my first batch of caterpillars (12) for the summer have all pupated, and I brought the next batch just before a huge storm hit. O_o …And there’s 31 of them…(32 if you count the inch worm I accidentally picked up when collecting food for them). I am running a goddam black swallowtail nursery. I don’t know how I’m going to keep track of the little buggers…lol

Posting to thank some of the people on this board for encouraging me to seek therapy. It’s kind of like this place was except I’m not getting bashed constantly. I mean it’s not a miracle worker but I like getting sympathy rather than insults.

BUT, there was one thing that I need to share. We found a way to work around my eye! I went down to the eyeglasses store and commissioned some special glasses. I have 20/20 vision in my right eye so the right lens was just clear glass. The left lens is like a mild magnifying glass. It makes my left eye look larger and basically normal when viewed directly. I was really skeptical when I heard about it but it really worked! The glasses also are cool and distract on their own. I should have gotten glasses years ago.

Things still aren’t great but those glasses alone made things 10000000000000000000000X better, and it was the therapist that suggested it. So I’m glad I went.

Also, someone asked about Borderlands last week. It gets really boring really fast, after a cool first 5-6 hours you realize you’re doing the same thing over and over. RENT IT!

@MRAL:

Well, as other people have said, therapy isn’t something that works immediately. Its something you keep up with. So stick with it, things will get a lot better eventually.

@MRAL,

Glad to hear it. Honestly I am. 🙂

That’s awesome, Mr. Al. Glad to hear it’s going well.

And yes. Thirding or fourthing the idea that therapy takes time, not everything (or every therapist) works for everyone, and, y’know, it’s a process. Good luck.

My hope and faith in people has been renewed.

I wish you all the best in your therapy, MRAL.

I think I’m going to apologize to Hugo Schwyzer. I still think he’s kind of a windbag but I told him to go fuck himself and you’re a pussy bitch dickhead and all that. I guess it wasn’t cool.

And yeah, I guess if you want to finish Borderlands renting isn’t really a viable choice. It’s a long game, it’s just after a while it all starts to feel like the same thing, like Ben Croshaw said, killing Jason Voorhees clones in a scrapyard, then killing a big Jason Voorhees and looting his body. Some might say repetition’s an inherent flaw to the RPG experience, but I loved Oblivion start to finish. All the BioWare products too (except Dragon Age II, fuck that). A well-designed game can avoid those problems.

MRAL: Good luck with the therapy. It will get harder. Good news about the glasses.

So are pugs adorable or just ugly little mutants? I ask because I have one trying to periodically chew my toes.

Johnny Pez

@ Elizabeth

I tend toward the first view, my wife toward the second. I’ve found that a steady application of butt scratches tends to immobilize most pugs.

I actually didn’t see it here btw but I refreshed your page on my own and saw it :3

and I’d just like to say… the 4th of July in my neighborhood, isn’t the best thing for my state of ease.
