Hark, a vagrant, as I may have noted many times already, is pretty much the most hilarious comic in the world at the moment.Β So recently the comicβs creator Kate Beaton got together with some of her cartoonist pals and did a bunch of cartoons featuring a gang of superheroines called the βSTRONG FEMALE CHARACTERS.β
Someone linked to them in Redditβs Menβs Rights subreddit. Take a look at the comments.Β The cartoons seem to have, well, confused the Menβs Rightsers just a little bit.
Just curious about something, Ion….. since the “jerk” in your anecdote was your roommate, did you happen to be “chubby guy” who was in love with girl?
Darn… I guess I better put it back into my drawer XD
Pam, I’m pretty sure that goes without saying. (giggles intellectually)
Pam – I was wondering how long it’d take until somebody asked that. No, I liked her, but that’s all. I also recognized she had emotional problems of her own. She fought with her family and spent a lot of nights at our place.
For what it’s worth, chubby guy did eventually end up with another girl, and they’re still together as far as I know.
Yay a happy ending XD
So what was the point of that story? XD I feel like I just watched one of the Transformers movies xD
Cool, I hope I was Starscream!
Starscream was always my fav xD I’ve been watching the old series again w/ my friend lately :3 It’s hilarious xD I always feel bad for Starscream xD But he’s also so cool XD
the movies tho sucked and Starscream was not cool π
And since he’s reading me xD Have any advice? π
PUAs always get so circumspect and quite when I ask for dating advice here xD So I’m hoping this will be different π
*quiet
xD
Also, to others, since he didn’t answer xD What was the point of that story? o_O
Yes, he’s scheming and treacherous but his plots don’t always turn out so good… just like me.
Of course I mean the cartoon series – and the 80s animated movie. The Michael Bay movies were a blasphemy. The first one had more screentime given to the human characters than the robots, ffs. I’m not crazy about what I’ve seen of this Dark Side of the Moon, either.
It occurred to me during the first movie, that if they turned the HUMAN chars into robots, it’d make more sense xD Some of them have personalities a lot like the transformers xD
I liked the recent Transformers Animated :3 It was very much a great mix of new stuff and some nods to the old series too :] And I liked Optimus WAY MORE as the plucky underdog than the annoying big leader of all XD
And Beast Wars was awesome π Dinobot was my fav char EVAR xD And when he died I remember crying and crying XD It was so heroic π He was like Starscream but NOT a jerk xD The show unfortunately ran into a lot of issues, but it still was rly complex and I liked when they tied it all back to the original (which wasn’t the plan at the start either xD ) plus it’s Canadian, so that’s another bonus! π
If I was a transformer I’d be a pink or blue motorcycle called Exdee π (like Arcee is RC, I’m XD :3 )
Still asking for dating advice *poke poke* xD
Advice? Well, he’s definitely into you if he agreed to go shopping with you. Try to get closer to him without being aggressive. If he doesn’t make any moves, ask him to hang out sometime, hopefully he’ll get the hint.
This would be so much easier if we could, like, just build a pile of shiny rocks and twigs and display our swollen anal glands to attract mates, or something… btw, that’s not a good idea, I’m never allowed in that park again. π
Thanks for answering my question, Ion. I got to this thread a little late in the day and skimmed over the various comments, so I missed whether you had identified yourself as “chubby guy” or not.
Since, as you say, she had emotional problems and fought with her family, perhaps the “bad boy vibe” that she was attracted to was a rebellious nature that she thought she might be able to draw strength from for herself. Then again, I might be completely out in left field on that one.
I’m happy to hear that chubby guy did end up with a girl that he may still be with now.
Excuse me for cutting in, but to forestall any false “equality” arguments from the pro-nice guy-syndrome peanut gallery:
The thing is, females have more of a right to their preferences than guys do, because women stand more to risk from a sexual relationship, namely STDs, pregnancy, and possibly slut shaming.
That is why it is wrong for us men to second guess a woman’s standards, because often they revolve around a man actually having redeeming qualities, like confidence, having a job, and ambition.
Especially when a man’s preferences often amount to wanting a woman who is easily amenable to not just sex, but unlimited emotional satisfaction i.e. ego stroking as well.
So yeah…”no fat chicks” is not as valid as “stop playing video games and get a job.”
I always think that we need signs or something.. I LIKE: XYZ xD it’d be a lot easier.. esp for me… XD
and ty for the advice π
@Pam I have drawn strength from men before xD They are all buried in my yard now D:
@Ami,
Somehow I don’t doubt that!
>:-)
Ion: Ok, Megan Fox sucks. We probably find those quotes objectionable for different reasons tho…
Yeah, that’s myths for ya! Be sure and let me know if you need any other common words defined, Ion.
Hell yeah.
And good luck with the guy. I don’t have any advice, but I have faith that he’ll be way over the moon if he has a hint that you’re interested.
Wow, Ion finally made a funny! You are still wrong and it was a stupid way to make a point with your little story. Especially since she had emotional problems (there are a few who date obvious bad guys to punish themselves for transgressions of the past real or imagined and she could have been doing that and you just made her into a bad person when in reality, she never was.)
Also, I do think that humans should be able to be more open with their interest but buttinskis always run it for us.
Ruin, not run.
@PosterformerlyknownasElizabeth Ami’s humour of super cute DOOM eventually invades all >:]
I still like my idea of signs xD
