Ladies, your days are numbered! The sexy lady sexbots are only a few years off, which will free men of the onerous task of having sex with your cootie-ridden human bodies, and pretty soon you won’t be needed for anything at all, not even making babies. At least according to this comment by “JR” on Roissy’s blog, which was recently highlighted on the Pro-Male/Anti-Feminist Technology blog:
I think the obvious gender-wide frustration of women today can partly be explained by this lowered value of children/reproduction altogether. Women understand that their primary purpose will always be tied up with reproduction and not civilization-altering achievement; now that this purpose has been largely removed, what do they have left? … [M]en are as useful as ever, whereas women’s role as child-bearer is rapidly becoming unnecessary and in many cases even harmful.
Babies? We don’t need no stinkin babies!
And if after a few years of childless Children of Men-style dystopia we male humans decide that maybe it would be good if we, collectively, had a few kids, well, by then some clever dude will have invented an artificial womb. And then, ladies, you’re toast! (Which we dudes will be eating a lot of in the future, by the way, as actual cooking, not to mention sammich-making, is for bitches.) As Mr. Pro-Male/Anti-Feminist Technology explains:
Before … our current level of technology, women were in complete and total control of reproduction. Women could get knocked up by one guy and claim another guy is the dad and there was no way of knowing what the truth was. First came increased scientific knowledge about reproduction. Before that the process of reproduction would have been considered to be almost magical given women room to exercise total control. This lessened women’s control over reproduction. In the 20th century came paternity testing so men could know without a doubt who a child’s father is. Now women have no room to hide except that the law allows for paternity fraud. Eventually we will have artificial wombs which will allow men to have children without women if they so choose. The artificial womb represents control of reproduction being wrestled away from women. This is a pretty direct progression of how women become less and less necessary in reproduction.
Of course, there’s that whole issue of actually raising the little buggers. But don’t worry, dudes are totally better at this, too!
[W]omen’s role as child bearer in many cases is becoming harmful. … All the pathologies caused by single mothers do not need to be repeated here. Beyond single motherhood take a look at younger women in their 20s. How many of them would you really trust to be mothers even if divorce wasn’t an issue? Take a look at the current crop of teenage girls, and it’s clear they will be even worse for motherhood than women currently in their 20s. Don’t forget all the misandry that these women carry which will have a negative impact on any sons you might have with them. … All things being equal the two parent family is probably better for raising children, but all things are not equal. Because of divorce the two parent family can become single motherhood at the drop of a hat. Single fatherhood from the beginning is better than that. Even without divorce women are increasingly unqualified to be mothers. … We are getting to a point where single fatherhood may be the superior system of raising children, especially when it comes to raising sons.
In your face, ladies! Moms suck! DudeMoms rule!!!!
Of course, not all dudes want to be single fathers. As savethemales notes in the comments on Pro-Male/Anti-Feminist Technology,
Robogirls can take the place of mothers and assist in raising children for the biological dads who employed artificial wombs in the labs to incubate their babies. Personally, I never want kids and frankly, what reason is there? Children and women are a big liability. Actuarial escape velocity and transhumanism will be the answer and logical choice over procreation for many men.
I have no idea what he just said there, but I am totally 100% behind it. Except maybe for the part about Robogirls. I mean, how do we know for sure that Robogirls aren’t going to teach robomisandry to our dude-children?
Personally, I wouldn’t trust my artificial-womb-born dude-children to anyone but a RoboDudeMom.
Personally, I don’t see artificial wombs ever being viable. The biological process is just too long and intricate. Besides, why do we need them? There are already too damn many humans on the planet. I don’t want kids anyway, so it doesn’t affect me one way or the other.
If I could pick just one thing to represent the complete failure of empathy for women evidenced by MRAs, I think this would be it. They think women would be disappointed by the development of an artificial uterus. Seriously, it boggles the mind. Anyone who had thought for two seconds about what pregnancy and childbirth entails, and could apply even the slightest empathy, should understand this! Surely a majority of men feel at least a little twinge of sympathetic pain over the ideas of hyperemesis, eclempsia, uterine rupture, episiotomies, C-sections, hemorrhages, and anything involving the word “tearing.” I’m sure some women would still do it the “old fashioned” way, but I am also positive that the biggest users of such an invention would be hetero couples where the woman just doesn’t want to go through the pain, difficulty, an danger inherent in pregnancy.
Does this artificial womb still require an egg and a sperm? o_O Or would we by then (tho I think we’re alrdy working towards it, if not alrdy have or almost have, I lost track of the science 🙁 ) have the ability to just put somebody’s DNA into an egg or sperm, and so you don’t need necessarily need genetic material from opposite sexes? Then I can finally have kids! 😀 not that I know if I want kids (or who I’m having them w/) but right now I do know I can’t : tho I can adopt :3
I was wondering tho…. they said that artificial wombs allow them to have kids w/o women… so who’s contributing the other genetic material? o_o or are they stealing it from women… Or are they making kids that are clones of them? Or will there be 2 fathers, like 2 MRAs contribute genetic material and raise a child, wife/girl-friend free! 😀
I was looking through the comments again and noticed SallyStrange wrote…
One would think, but I would bet real money that the loudest voices against an artificial womb would be from religious groups that are also currently anti-choice. After all, the pain of childbirth is one of the punishments for Eve’s alleged transgressions and who are we to thwart the will of God. (One of the first cases of the many, MANY injustices in the bible. Eve took the fruit, so all women must suffer. That’s like not just locking up a burglar, but locking up their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, ad infinitum.)
I’m not upset at the notion of artificial uteri either. Hell, I’m not planning to use mine, I’ll donate it.
OK, as a child-free woman, I think these MRAs are full of it. It seems to me like a lot of cis men don’t put that much thought into being fathers (because let’s face it, they don’t necessarily have to) and go along with whatever their partner wants.
I think the MRAs view children as a possession and would run from the real work of raising a child. Shit, they can’t even organize.
No, women are disappointed because if we have an artificial uterus we will not produce women anymore. .
Women will simply be phased out. Men can do everything better than women except giving birth to children (biological fact!).
If there are less women there will be no market for all the stuff women live for like gold jewelry, cosmetics, perfumes, expensive shoes, expensive handbags and designer clothes. All that will disappear.
And that will be horrible for women because they are so vain and materialistic
First sexbots, now artificial wombs? The MRAs’ technology just keeps getting better and better.
Ami: A lot of MRAs have radfem mothers. The conclusions you draw are your own.
David: The last comment is referring to transhumanism, a loose community of SF geeks who believe that humanity will eventually transcend our mortal, evolutionary limits and (frex) live forever. “Actuarial escape velocity” is basically the transhumanist version of Zeno’s Paradox: you live to eighty, by which time medical advancements manage to enable you to live to a hundred and twenty, by which time medical advancements enable you to live to two hundred, and so on and so forth. Ray Kurtzweil, the closest thing the movement has to a “leader,” swallows hundreds of vitamins a day to improve his chances of reaching actuarial escape velocity. Usually transhumanists are way smarter than this dude, though. (Crazy, but smart.)
That’s right, Marc! Then there will be more room in the market finally for important MANSTUFF like Blowing-Up Thingies and PENIS ENHANCEMENT CREAM and Dirty Ol’ Pants and GIANT HAMBURGERS MADE OF MEAT!!! Robot whores on racing boats!!!!! Beer-powered penisguns!!!!
The few women who remain will die of boredom and kill themselves from depression after their precious handbag store is replaced by HILARIOUS FART JOKE AUTOMATOR MACHINES!!!! It will be amazing. And not at all insulting to people.
I think that MRAs are not only misogynists, but misanthropists as well. The ones that say they don’t want kids because they– and women– are a liability should be asking themselves why they would even want a robot raising kids for them. Why not just let the human species die out and give all the power to robots?
Marc complained in an earlier thread that I was just picking on random anonymous internet postings (never mind that some of the people I quote aren’t anonymous, and that most of them are well-known in the MRA/MGTOW community, etc).
But it appears that Marc (also anonymous) actually agrees with most of the wacky shit the guys I quote on the blog think.
Either than or he’s trolling us with a parody of MRA misogyny. It’s impossible to tell, since (unlike the guys I tend to quote) he doesn’t have a track record of comments we can go back and look at. But if so, he’s nowhere near as good as MRAmi.
Yeah…we women always had control over our reproduction. I mean..when birth control was invented it was only given out to married women and on top of that these women had to get permission from their husbands. And if you were a single woman, you couldn’t have birth control, because well that will just give us women-folk a license to be promiscuous.
Not only that, WOC also been victims of forced sterilization, because well can’t have those lazy minorities breeding. So yes, we always had control over our own reproduction, I mean that’s why we don’t have to fight to keep abortion legal and we don’t have to fight to keep access to contraception……….wait. O_o
I’m wondering about that as well. I mean, they hate women, but they want to have sex with us…..? O_o Why not just seek companionship with other men? There are radical separatists feminists who do this. Don’t see why they can’t.
>First sexbots, now artificial wombs? The MRAs’ technology just keeps getting better and better.
Yes! Aren’t we great!?
Of course the sexbots and the artificial wombs will take a while.
But remember, when someone in the middle ages said “soon the bodily strength of a man will be relatively unimportant” he would have been regarded as insane! Technology progresses faster than you think.
But what do you think of the pinnacle of Antifeminism-Tech right now, 1080p high-quality porn? Come on, admit it, you enjoy that!!!
And it’s already better than boring sex in a relationship after the passion died out!
>“Actuarial escape velocity” is basically the transhumanist version of Zeno’s Paradox
What? No! Zeno’s Paradox is just stupid and wrong – actuarial escape velocity is real.
Zeno just didn’t understand real numbers, convergence/limits.
If you still think an infinite sum of numbers greater than zero must be infinite you are either stupid or a woman.

“well known” ??
haha.
One well known lesbian (that one from Damascus) was a straight American male living in Scotland, the other well known lesbian was an old dude from Ohio.
btw, in reality I am female and an associate professor of gender studies, Indiana University.
20% of the comments at the-spearhead.com are written by me.
David:
See, now you just need to treat all stupid inane posts you find somewhere that way and you’re cured.

Actually, that sounds totally awesome. If that’s what’s going to happen, I fully support our new gay dude overlords and their robot moms.
The MRA concept of history is always… interesting. Women had more power in society when little was known about childbirth and people had limited control over their fertility? Isn’t the observable truth kind of the exact opposite? What particular time and place are these guys even thinking of?
I am Speaker Boehner if we are making up personalities. Wait, I am not an orange emotional drunken wreck. Damn you Orangeman!
Also the medieval period was a lot more advanced then people give it credit for so no, the idea that a man had to spend all day slaving away would not have been that outlandish.
As always, Terry Jones explains it all.
The time when it was required for women to hang out at the local temple and have sex with whatever man came wandering by.
I’m sure artificial uteri will be developed one of these days, and it will be boss, but it’s really hard not to giggle at any serious plan for the future that includes, “…and then the Singularity happens!”
Shulamith Firestone was talking about artificial uteri in the um 70s or earler–too lazy to google–so now a new idea, and joining the recommendations for people to read Bujold’s ETHAN OF ATHOS for one of the few (meaning only one I know) explorations of all male culture. (For some of you, I’d recommend Joanna Russ’ THE FEMALE MAN, for the part about Manland and Womanland and the final WAR–Jael ROCKZ).
Never wanted children, never will have one, but have any of the Dudes planning their dudely families thoght that women might be making use of the articial uteri to have their own children, maybe more female children, daughters through parthenogenesis (see Charlotte Perkins Gilman’s HERLAND an Joanna Russ’ “When it Changed” and THE FEMALE MAN).
Or will somehow these nifty artificial uteri be available only to MANLANDERS?
I think it is left unspoken that all women will be put to death once this is perfected. But that might be the cynic in me.
Goodness me. I guess I shouldn’ta had the organ that determines my sole purpose in life removed without using it! Now what do I have left?
I wish I could aim for civilization-altering achievements, you know, like all the awesome stuff MRA dudes have done.
<blockquote<Zeno just didn’t understand real numbers, convergence/limits.
Actually they didn’t yet have the integral calculus. It’s not fair to say he didn’t understand something that is explainable by a method that wouldn’t be discovered for a very long time afterwards, and which many people still find difficult to master.
It’s not at all like the situation of some people failing to understand perfectly obvious things that are right in front of them, simply because it doesn’t suit them to do so, and instead making fools of themselves running round in circles shouting “BLARGH! WIMMINZ!”
What? No! Zeno’s Paradox is just stupid and wrong – actuarial escape velocity is real.
Zeno just didn’t understand real numbers, convergence/limits.
If you still think an infinite sum of numbers greater than zero must be infinite you are either stupid or a woman.
@Marc: In order for actuarial escape velocity to happen, you’ll have to convince the pharmaceutical industry to start research on new antibiotics and find a way to never have accidents, get murdered or become too depressed to live. Good luck with that. In the meantime, your Freshman math is not impressing anyone.
Almost all the women I know who have had children have also had miscarriages, and some more than once, so I think artificial uteri would be a great idea. I doubt that the MRAs are thinking about women’s safety, though . . .
“I think it is left unspoken that all women will be put to death once this is perfected.”
Yeah. But they might keep a few of us around to make sandwiches!
