Recently, in the comments to my Secret Life as a Group of Women post, our old friend evilwhitemaleempire offered this intriguing theory as to why I started this blog:

Your entire adult life has been about coping with the aggressive sexual displays of bigger, taller, more attractive men by throwing anti-male grenades at them. That’s why your a feminist. … you support the false rape/harassment industry because it acts to jail all those better men you can’t compete with.
You and your mangina ilk are what you have always been since high school. Nerds who think they can win the cheerleader if they can get the football captain jailed as a rapist.
I can’t fault his logic here, though evil here is making several incorrect assumptions that call into question his conclusion. One, I don’t actually support sending innocent men to jail on false rape charges, even if they were the captain of the football team in high school. Two, even in high school, I was never interested in the cheerleader type; as a nerdy alternative-music-loving slacker guy, I was much more interested in the girls who listened to The Jam rather than Journey. Also, the high school I went to was basically a high school for nerds; even the cheerleaders were a little nerdy. We didn’t have a football team; our basketball team was legendary for the length of its losing streak, while our chess team, meanwhile, racked up victory after victory.
But enough about my high school. The key point here is that manosphere dudes have somehow managed to convince themselves, despite massive evidence to the contrary, that sexual attraction is a very simple and straightforward thing: men want cheerleaders and Hooters waitresses; women want jocks and thugs. These are iron-clad rules, and apply to everyone, including the nerdiest of nerds and the feministest of feminists. (By everyone, of course, I mean cis heteros; manosphere dudes have no real theories about lgbt sexuality, and tend to forget it exists.)
So evil assumes that I (and presumably the rest of the feminist guys out there) have adopted feminism as a way to get into the pants of the cheerleaders who wouldn’t date us in high school. On the flip side, manosphere dudes often assume, bizarrely, that feminist women are all secretly obsessed with boning thuggish jocks.
In reality, of course, people tend to be interested in and attracted to people basically like them: gym rats go for gym rats, nerds for nerds, goths for goths, lawyers for lawyers, and so on, and so on, and scooby dooby doo.
To illustrate this point, I’d like to present some relevant anthropological data, in the form of video footage of the “aggressive sexual display” of one “alpha male” of a certain subspecies of homo sapiens. You will notes that this mating dance has attracted the attention of a female of the same type — and not a feminist. Unfortunately, as far as well can tell from the video itself, the dance did not result in successful copulation. In the end, our subject finds himself competing against the aggressive display of another male of the same type.
David, I doubt any of these clowns self-identify as omegas. Omega is the designation for people they feel are beneath them or those that are (for lack of a better term) gender traitors. They’d never apply that label to themselves.
The only thing in the world that fits into their neat little hierarchy is themselves.
Hahahahaha…. what is there to examine? Alphas hook up with alphas. Betas hook up with betas. Fat chicks either hook up with omegas or are abstinent. I have seen rare exceptions, but that’s it. Tell me, how can I “interpret” this?

Do us a favor and quit fucking whining. The “When we’re in charge, YOU’LL GET YOURS!” bit probably isn’t helping your all ready less-than-charming personality either. You want to talk about choices? YOU choose to take every rejection by a woman to mean that every woman in the world (the ones you consider fuckable anyway) is against you. YOU choose to keep trying to get with women who are so shallow that your only possible value to them is as an ATM. YOU choose to let all of your experiences make you weak and bitter instead of LEARNING anything from them.
Plain and simple, sport. The world doesn’t owe you anything. Women as a gender do not owe you attention or affection. You can either make better decisions and work for a good relationship with a woman or you can cling to this “Soon, we will rule and then I will get my due!” fantasy of yours. Your choice.
How about this, something that many people have already brought up?
People of similar social status and interests tend to associate with each other. What you call “alphas” tend to be the upper class (celebrities like Brad Pitt or girls with expensive tastes). They also tend to date people they are attracted to. It is true that there are stereotypical standards of attractiveness (what you call “alphas”) but not everyone shares these standards (in fact my guess is that very few people fall in lockstep with the stereotypes, it depends on who you talk to and the culture they are a part of). It is a very, very complex issue, but humans are complex creatures.
What this takes into account, and what your model utterly fails in, is separating the worth of a person from their looks. There is a very expansive map of human experience, of which dating and relationships form a very small part. There may be a stigma against finding “fat chicks” attractive (though ancient cultures, as well as many modern day people, see BBW mentioned earlier, don’t share in this), but that has nothing to do with their contributions in science, literature, and art.
My guess, and this is purely conjecture, is that you’ve dated girls (or a girl) who were interested in you for money and not for sex (this does happen, but NAWALT :P). Instead of being bitter towards the girls (girl) you dated, you decided that all women WERE like that. Visiting MRA sites, which consists solely of men who have been through bad relationships, only strengthened your conviction. In short, you generalized based upon a biased selection.
You may not like my interpretation, but thats what happens when you try to turn a complex issue into a simple one. You won’t get an easy answer; this doesn’t mean that the easy answer is right.

Well, assuming that you’re not just bullshitting us (and bullshittery can never be discounted as an explanation), I’d have to suggest confirmation bias. You see what you expect to see, or what you want to see.
Uh… I’m skinny. You can see my hipbones and my ribs and everything. And I can’t get every guy I want. I’ve been rejected by all sorts of guys. “Beta males” even. Man, it would be nice if I could have even casual sex with everyone I wanted, but that’s just not possible.
Also, where did this whole “women like Brad Pitt” meme come from? It is the stupidest thing. Every woman I’ve ever talked to said that if Brad Pitt asked them for sex, they’d turn him down. (As opposed to legitimately hot men, like Mr. Depp.)

I don’t get why super skinny women are supposed to be attractive either. My personal tastes have always been towards more… round? builds. The high cheekbones so sharp you could pop a balloon with them just scares me a little.
Ridiculous. I don’t merely pursue one type of woman. The only line I draw is fat chicks/omegas. I will not associate with a fat chick. Anyways, the fact of the matter is that personal relationships tend to work out based on a large number of factors depending on an individual’s preferences and merits, which you derisively refer to as “comparable personalities” (As if to suggest people’s personalities had an effect on how others perceive them! Don’t make me laugh!) There is also a factor of circumstance modified, admittedly, by the individual’s social class, though this is quite a bit more complex than “all successful men are with all beautiful women, all stoners are with all fatties.”
You don’t want to believe this, however, because you’d much rather insist on the presence of a heavily reductivist model drawing from a poor understanding of animal social structures and high school sitcoms which, conveniently, abjures you of all responsibility for your own romantic shortcomings.

I think you’d maybe be happier, lieutenant, if you didn’t make sex the end goal of your life and your ultimate source of happiness. It always appears to me that this is the case for most of the guys who buy into this phony baloney claptrap about “greek hierarchies”.
It could be that women are turned off by you because you see life as a constant quest for pussy, and you see them as an ends to get your dick wet.
For me, dating and sex are far down the totem pole. After academics, physical health, intellectual growth, and artistic production. Yet despite filling my life up with non sex related pursuits, and prioritizing these pursuits over sex, I actually still manage to get myself some sex on a somewhat regular basis.
Anyway, yes, I understand that as a result, my life will not be spared with the streets run red with the blood of the oppressors.
