Jordan Peterson’s Christian cosplaying has come to an ignominious end. But some have been quick to forgive him

And if you’re feeling stuck as a writer, I can help!

For several years now, Canadian fussbudget intellectual Jordan Peterson has been presenting himself as “a new kind of Christian,” as he once put it in an interview, talking endlessly about what he sees as the moral lessons of the Bible and writing a 576-page book taking readers through famous stories in the Old Testament.

Is Antinatalism a death cult?

CW: Suicide, genocide

Last Saturday, a young antinatalist named Guy Edward Bartkus parked a car laden with explosives in front of the American Reproductive Centers fertility clinic in Palm Springs, California. Setting off a powerful homemade bomb that shook the whole neighborhood, he didn’t succeed in killing anyone but himself–though the blast did injure four others. And despite devastating a good chunk of the clinic building, his attack didn’t harm the clinic’s stored embryos. But he did accomplish two of his primary goals: ending his own life and getting his particular brand of antinatalism in the news for several days.

CW: Suicide, violence against women

Gary Mosher wants everyone to know he had nothing to do with Saturday’s bombing of a fertility clinic in Palm Springs by a man who celebrated Mosher’s philosophy of “Efilism” in a brief manifesto he posted online.

Women is stinky. Oatmeal feel good in tummy: The terrible dating advice of Casey Zander

Dating coach, oatmeal lover, and raging misogynist: Casey Zander is all three. Actually, it’s not clear he’s a dating coach exactly, as his alleged wisdom on the woman question is so bleak and hateful that he may be driving young men away from the dating scene instead of providing them a reliable guide to it. Come for Casey’s “Oatmeal Story,” stay for his toxic advice.

YouTubers are making big bucks vilifying Amber Heard and Meghan Markle — and YouTube won’t stop them

It’s been three and a half months since the Johnny Depp-Amber Heard defamation trial ended with a victory for Depp. But Heard’s professional haters on YouTube can’t seem to quit her, putting out dozens of videos a day blasting her in any way they can think of; racking up millions of views in the process. I found more than a hundred of these videos posted just today (9/15/22).

Nicholas Alahverdian, with wife and apparently unnecessary breathing apparatus

If you can’t get enough of Nicholas Alahverdian — the accused serial con artist and sexual abuser who duped A Voice for Men into making him their “false accusations” poster boy — I’d recommend taking a look at this documentary on YouTube.

More than a month after the Heard/Depp verdict, the professional haters just won’t let Amber Heard go

During the Amber Heard/Johnny Depp defamation trial, videos taking aim at Heard filled up Tik-Tok and YouTube. Some posted them because they genuinely hated Heard; others jumped in because they knew money could be made off the vast audience clamoring continually for more Heard content.

Roosh V is booted from YouTube, but at least the Daily Stormer has his back

By David Futrelle

Roosh Valizadeh has finally gotten the boot from YouTube for “repeated or severe violations” of the site’s rules on hate speech. The final straw was apparently a livestream in which he suggested that Bratz dolls (remember them?) are a plot to “groom” young girls, masterminded by an evil Jewish CEO.

Internet babies are mad at Brie Larson again, this time for the crime of starting her own YouTube channel

Captain Marvel comes to YouTube; babies soil their diapers again

By David Futrelle

We’re in the grip of a pandemic that has already killed more than 132,000 Americans. The Black Lives Matters protests continue across the country. And somehow at this fraught moment in history the internet babies are throwing yet another tantrum about “Captain Marvel” actress Brie Larson — though at this point I doubt many of them can even remember what they’re ostensibly mad at her for. (Because she’s named after a cheese?)
