So the gamebros are up in arms about the fifth installment in the Battlefield series, Battlefield V, because the game, set in World War II, has LADIES in it, which makes it TOTALLY UNREALISTIC because there were NO LADIES in WWII, well ok maybe there were actually a bunch of ladies in WWII, some of them serving in combat even but goddammit WHY CAN’T OUR MALE SPACE BE SACRED ah bloo bloo bloo.

In the Men Going Their Own Way subreddit, the regulars are still grousing about it, lamenting that the over-the-top spectacle of it all was giving women hope that they too could land a prince — or, failing that, at least a man with some cash in his bank account.

The “involuntary celibates” who congregate on the Incels.me forum have previously celebrated such lovely fellows as Toronto van killer Alek Minassian, a self-described incel who murdered ten pedestrians in a symbolic attack against sex-having “Chads and Stacies,” and Elliot Rodger, the incel “saint” whose 2014 murder spree in Isla Vista California helped to inspire Minassian’s rampage.

Pity the poor white supremacists on this, the Royal Wedding day. Unless you spent the day trapped in a well, and that well didn’t have a television or internet access or cell phone reception, you know that today is the day that Britain’s Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the royal knot. You probably also know that the newly minted Duchess of Sussex is mixed-race, with a white father and black mother.

I don’t check Men’s Rights hate site A Voice for Men all that often these days — the world has largely moved on from it and so have I — but I stopped by there yesterday while working on my post about the odious Don Blankenship, and happened to notice that the one and only Paul Elam had weighed in on the Cosby GUILTY GUILTY GUILTY verdict in a post whose title declared bluntly that “we’re all Bill Cosby now.”
