Roosh fan: Black and White Unite to Fight … the evil feminist white-male bashers! (Also: a terrible chart.)
Posted by David Futrelle
So when I was poking around on Roosh’s Return of Kings blog the other day I ran across a guest post from someone calling himself Samseau accusing feminists of using racism to exploit men – that is, of expertly manipulating men of different races to fight one another instead of standing firm against the evil feminists and their evil agenda.
The post, while purporting to be somehow “above” the issue of race, is a muddled mess full of “white men have it worst” nonsense like this:
[R]acial infighting between American men wouldn’t be so bad if it weren’t for the political consequences.
Women, if you haven’t noticed, do not fight with each other over racial conflicts. They might get angry over the past, but they are able to resolve all issues by agreeing on a scapegoat: the white man. Colored women will gladly forgive their white sisters, since, after all, it was the white man who oppressed women and minorities.
White men are the big, bad, evil masters, and as such, all females of different colors can agree to put aside their differences in order to bring the white man down.
Yes, he did indeed use the term “colored women.” Oh, but there’s more.
The election results show that decades of brainwashing young American boys has been an unqualified success. Rather than have boys be loyal to their gender, boys have instead been trained to be loyal to their race.
Little non-white boys at the tender age of 9 years are fed lies about how white male oppressors created their poor living conditions, while white boys are taught that they need to correct the injustices of their forefathers lest they be guilty with the indelible sin of white privilege. Female teachers use the appropriate shaming tactics on these young minds to imprint the intended desire for conflict.
All according to plan.
And more:
Men are pawns in the race game. Thus while American women feed themselves government largesse, jobs, university degrees, their husband’s money, and child support money, American men fight each other over table scraps.
But my favorite thing about this article is the little graph that Mr. Samseau made up to illustrate the REAL issues men face today.
Yep. Race is the least important issue, while “getting laid” is number one.
It’s a pretty revealing little chart, huh?
The comment section for the article – wade into this swamp at your own peril – is (predictably enough) filled with angry racists trying to explain why race really does matter. Others, meanwhile, seem upset that all this racism is getting in the way of the regular woman-bashing. Still others suggest that men of all races needed to understand the “root cause” of all our “multicultural problems.” That being … teh Jews.
My favorite comment of the bunch, though, has to be this, from Caliente, combining an astounding ignorance of history with some half-digested evo psych:
Btw the reason why there are practically no racist women is simple.
Males of mammals are territorial.
They naturally base they identity from bottom up: family, tribe, nation, race. And naturally react negative to males of different “tribe”.
Females at the same time are receptive to have sex with any males as long as they are alpha enough.
In 19 century whites fucked all the black women because they were alpha and they had recourses, just look at Brasil.Nowadays a feminist will be cheating on her white beta herbling with some black fitness coach because that is how her brain assumes alphaness.
Wow.
Glad we got that all settled!

I know someone who knew Ted Kaczynski fairly well, during the two years he was at Berkeley. I know that’s not really relevant to anything, but I still have a fever and random associations is about all I am capable of right now. (Oddly I still seem to be more logical than Demarcq…)
GET YOUR FLU SHOTS! Seriously, if you can, get them. I’ve been off work all week, but finally dragged my sorry ass in today. My boss is off at a conference, but his second in command just came over to say, “I know I’m not your supervisor, but I still want to order you to go home and get more rest.”
I work with nice people.
…Wait, did you complain about how you’re feeing at any point recently while in the office? Could be that our new troll is one of your coworkers.
Me? Or deniseeliza? I have been completely stoic at work, for the record. Also, while some of my coworkers are odd, they are all pretty decent human beings. (I.e. they leave our new troll in the dust.)
Wait, a short whr? Doesn’t that mean small waist, big hips? My experience has been that such a configuration on a man is not terribly uncommon among the skinny. (and if he meant it ‘short’ colloquially, then that’s even worse, because you don’t mix a ratio with a descriptor not meant to describe the number of the ratio! That’s awful! Fuzzy math! The worst!)
Is “whr” maybe meant to be weight/height ratio? Is he on the short and chubby side?
Well, I did recently get dumped, which I told him about, and he responded, “So who’s his new girlfriend? Because men are dicks like that, they never break up with someone without having a new girlfriend to switch to.”
He is kind of chubby. Average height. Nothing out of the ordinary.
I conclude that he mangled the throwing a ratio comment. I am sorely tempted to judge him as a human being for mangling math, but I resist this urge, because I am not perfect, either. Irrational numbers trouble me in the night.
weight/height seems more probable than waist/hips, if only because “short” makes more sense as a descriptor. Like another friend of ours, he obsesses over bodily features described in terminology no one else even knows.
I know everyone covered this beautifully but I gotta:
The white power structure that was set up when the country was forming, back in the 1700s, when women were also considered property and had no legal right to vote? Women are 50% responsible for a system they had no power to help create? *headtilt*
Perpetuating racism has been done by all genders but the formation of US law and society back in the 1700s, that was all on the property-owning white dudes. (The ones who made the 3/5ths rule, who wrote the 2nd Amendment to protect slavery, etc.)
I think we could make a shorter list of the shit this trollboy does know rather than trying to keep track of what he doesn’t. *eyeroll*
I would also note that the women’s suffrage movement in the US came into being as a direct result of the actions of those (white, mostly well-off) women in the abolitionist movement. Stanton and Mott were angry that they were not allowed to address large abolitionist meetings because it “wasn’t the proper place” for women to do so and that’s one of the primary reasons why they called the Seneca Falls Convention.
@katz – for upper class white women, yes, being involved in various societies devoted to “do-gooding” was a common activity, especially ones that revolved around church memberships. Those women could manage to do it because they had enough income to have enough servants to manage the entire household and keep everyone alive. Temperance societies came from the same root as women’s abolitionist and suffrage movements, for similar reasons.
Sorry, I did mean in upper-class white families specifically and I should have specified.
@ deniseeliza: I reckon the government should issue licences to be a nerd. A nerd status should be used responsibly and penalty points should be issued to anyone who tries to:
a) prove they’re the nerdiest
b) shove their particular nerd fandom down everyone’s throat
c) be territorial about their particular nerd fandom
d) be a jerk in any social nerd circles or events including discussion forums, gaming or conventions.
e) Act like they’re special non-conformist snowflakes and above everyone else.
Anyone has enough penalty points will have their nerd licence revoked and will have to pass a “How Not to be a Jerk Nerd” test to get it back.
Got any stats to back that up? I live in a big city and hardly ever see men with a waist/hip ratio that is visible < 1………..Men with such a feature probably are overweight since waist/hip ratio is determined predominately by hormone levels. Excess fat in men decreases testosterone levels which might account for the guys you see with such a low waist hip ratio.
That sucks. I hope his new gf makes him take it up the pooper with a strap-on and you find yourself a decent, tall guy who is not chubby.
I do hope the karma catches up with him and his ass gets dumped.
@Demarcq Lol. You can’t ask for stats on someone’s experience.
I looked at that article this morning, thenatfantastic.
It pissed me right the hell off. I am old and I was there. Thirty years of backlash has been fairly successful at selling the idea that the womens liberation movement in the US was all about elite white women demanding their right to be sex objects.
NO. Not just no, but hell no!
David — especially in view of your last two posts — I am in awe of your stamina, fortitude, and just plain strong stomach in being able to read this stuff day after day, and making it digestible (if not exactly palatable) for your readers. I am finally sending a small contribution your way in gratitude for doing this on our behalf.
What it implies is that they mean is that solidarity with other Chicanos(and I mean the plural for the chicano people since the masculine plural is default in the spanish language…..OMG sexism!!!)matters more to them than solidarity with women as a whole.
Personally, I as a white guy have found that I have more in common with men of color than I do with white women. And many white women have told me that they too can relate better to women of color then they can to white men.
Dude, if you can’t see the waist-hip ratio on a dude, you’re not looking hard enough.
Also, whoa, wow to pick such a terrible, terrible fate for the poor man as anal sex. Yes, no men ever engage in that because they enjoy it, for sure.
(this is me giving you a knowing look)
Sure you have.
He may perceive himself as having more in common with men of color, but that doesn’t mean that men of color feel the same way about him.
” And all the women I know have told me that they can relate better to anyone than they can to me. ”
FTFY
“That sucks. I hope his new gf makes him take it up the pooper with a strap-on and you find yourself a decent, tall guy who is not chubby.”
Cuz anal with a strap-on is not just a punishment, but a worse curse than “may he step on Legos”
Grow up please.
Howard — your math and similar comment are making me happy, thank you :)
1. Pegging is an act of love, not a punishment.
2. I’m pretty sure this guy wasn’t getting dates because he was a git.
3. Chubby guys who are also sweethearts are totally *~adorable~*.
Um, Demarcq? If you’re trying to help and comfort the commenters here, please don’t.
Fuck off, Demarcq. Fuck off with the fat shaming, fuck off with the height shaming, fuck off with the “jokes” about how humiliating anal sex is. Fuck off with the belief that men don’t have hips and hormones are destiny. Fuck off with the gender essentialism. Just fuck off.
Also, fuck off with the appropriating of other peoples’ (i.e. Chicana/os) experiences. (If you don’t mind me adding on, viola.)
This is my reaction to most of Demarcq’s comments. Anyone else?
The gist I’m getting, if I may summarize, and I may be going out on a limb here, is: fuck off.
He has to be one of our revolving door trolls, I’m just not sure which one.
As a white guy, I often find I have less in common with other white guys than I do with cats.
This explains many things.
@Joanna – those nerd licenses should include demerits for
f) combining the special-snowflakism with talking in nerd/fan jargon to everyone they meet, on the conflicting assumption that the whole world shares/gives a damn about their fandom.
@Kitteh’s: that could be a subcategory of b)
f) combining the special-snowflakism with talking in nerd/fan jargon to everyone they meet, on the conflicting assumption that the whole world shares/gives a damn about their fandom
Can a sub-category of this be trying to speak anime Japanese at all Asian-looking people? Or does that get it’s own GTFO category?
Works for me! :)
Grumbles and his picking lines from Star Wars and changing them prompted it. Hello, not everyone even on this board knows those references. Or cares.
I just gotta ask – what the hell is a “herbling”??????
I just gotta ask – what the hell is a “herbling”??????
Kind of Pokemon?
I seriously just pointed my finger at the chart and laughed for like five minutes straight.
Evidently “alpha” means “literally owning other human beings” to this cretin. And I get the feeling he’s been reading too many Kyle Onstott books.
Herbling … is that meant to refer to the “herbivore” people in Japan? Though it sounds like an odd diminutive of Herbert, too.
Off topic but does anyone else see the “Babies in high heels and string bikinis” ad on this page?
Herbling: earthling + chlorophyll?
I think herbling is an attempt to appropriate the herbivore guys in Japan for MRA use (again). On the plus side, they seem to have finally figured out that those guys are not on their side. On the down side, they now seem to think that “herbivore” means “married”.
Given how badly they mangle their own mother tongues it’s not exactly a surprise that they have some problems understanding terms originating in countries where English is not the primary language.
Herbling is an MRA term which proves how the movement is misandrist.
They use it to refer to nameless men whom MRAs see as going through life as shapeless sad-sack betas. Totally not insulting to men generally.
They’re showing that same-old, same-old confusion about their attitude toward betas. On the surface, they’re “ordinary NiceGuys(TM) like me who get treated so badly by hypergamous bitches chasing all those black millionaire fitness instructors,” but at the same time, they’re seething with contempt for these so-called “herblings”.
Must be fun being an MRA who hates everyone in the world including himself.
It sounds like a German term of endearment. “My little herbling.”
Can’t… breathe..
considering their baffling usage of existing slang, I’m guessing he’s trying to be cute with the term herb
I’m getting the impression that “herb” is supposed to mean “beta who is happy that way” (i.e., who is not trying to learn “Game” to shed his tragic beta-ness). I figure it’s originally inspired by the Japanese “herbivore” term, but has taken on its own life since then, since it’s obviously different – for example, PUAs acknowledge that many “herbs” are in relationships or even married, while the Japanese herbivore concept is all about choosing to eschew dating and relationships. Of course, PUAs reassure themselves that their worldview is still correct by assuming that the women who date/marry these “herbs” must surely be old or otherwise undesirable, and only settle for the “herbs” because they cannot get “alphas”. Or, if presented with evidence of a “herb” married to a woman who lives up to PUA hotness standards, she’s clearly only using him for a meal ticket and is secretly cuckolding him with all the “alphas”. Because you gotta explain away the phenomenon of people finding happiness without PUA shitbaggery *somehow*.
Seriously, I’ve seen PUAs posting and then mocking pictures of “herbs” and their partners/kids (“look at him, she’s making him carry the baby and he totally goes along with that, omg she’s totally emasculated him, and he even looks *happy*, the poor deluded fool, while she probably despises him and fucks her personal trainer”), and I can’t shake the feeling that these are desperate attempts at suppressing the raging envy over seeing other people in happy relationships.
Shadow – there’s irony. The definitions of herb in Urban Dictionary sound like MRAs … losers, bullshitters …
cloudiah – or a French one, mon petit chou (my little cabbage).
“What it implies is that they mean is that solidarity with other Chicanos(and I mean the plural for the chicano people since the masculine plural is default in the spanish language…..OMG sexism!!!)matters more to them than solidarity with women as a whole.”
In your previous comment you had written it as the singular Chicano, I’m a stickler for doing shit properly when it comes to my native language and it’s not like language is this perfect and unproblematic thing.
Gloria Anzaldua wrote about how she’ll criticize Mexican and Chican@ culture for their attitudes towards women but that there still remains a solidarity in that she’ll stick up for her culture when the criticism is coming from outside. So it’s not about picking a side.
“Personally, I as a white guy have found that I have more in common with men of color than I do with white women. And many white women have told me that they too can relate better to women of color then they can to white men.”
That’s cool and all but I’m not a fan of assuming I have more in common with some people because we share the same sexual organs. Personally in my experience, this sort of talk always seems to come from white guys, hm I wonder if there’s anything going on there.
Also I’m echoing the fuck off’s.
Ninja’ed while composing excessively long post. Hopefully that’ll teach me to be more concise… if only.
I like my definition better.
You are an asshole, Demarcq. Fuck off.
You can’t even do sympathy without coming off like a mansplaining dickbiscuit. Please, go the fuck away, asswaffle.
Cool story, bro.
Neurite –
QFT with a large dose of DING DING DING we have a winner!
I really don’t think any of these guys are capable of simple happiness, let alone love.
It could also be a reflection of the idea that herbs are chick food. and manly men just want to eat giant slabs of unseasoned, burned meat.
(Which would be kind of meta given the origins over the whole herbivore men thing. Some bad ideas exist in multiple cultures.)
“manly men just want to eat giant slabs of unseasoned, burned [mammoth] meat.”
ftfy ;)
I’m extremely skeeved by the attitude of “taking is up the ass is the worst punishment”, because it seems to always come from the guys who also think women should totally “do anal” for them, and that’s like the hottest thing, and women who don’t do it are stuck-up bitches, etc. Because it really reinforces the conclusion that their love of anal sex has little to do with how good it may feel, and a lot do do with punishing/degrading their partner.
Which I find extra sad because there are good reasons to love and enjoy anal sex! Heck, even its cultural implications of “dirty” or “degrading” can be happily enjoyed in a completely okay way in a BDSM context, as long as there’s communication and consent and everyone’s on board with that happening. Argh, PUAs and other douchebags, stop taking something fun and making it icky!
I was actually waiting for trollboy to follow his anal-as-punishment comment with a comment about how women better give men anal or else he’ll think they’re snotty bitches. The two attitudes do tend to go together.
Neurite – totally. Everything for these guys seems to be about degrading and controlling other people, women in particular (not that they see us as people anyway), preferably via sexualised violence. Terms like consent, mutual pleasure, love, affection and respect are the dirtiest words in the language for them.
Anal would probably be difficult for him since his head’s already wedged up there.
@Kitteh
Well, the MRA community has never been celebrated for lack of projection :P
@Demarcq
This either means that you grew up around men of colour, or it means that you think misandry is a larger problem than racism. While I tend to side eye white women who think sexism is a larger problem than racism, Ima just have to point and laugh at anyone who thinks misandry is a problem even slightly comparable to racism
@katz – I figured as much, just wanted to be clear.
@cloudiah – this is my reaction at this point:
http://fyeahenglishbulldogs.tumblr.com/post/41237713843
@Neurite-
I think deep down all these guys also know that their misery is heavily self-inflicted too, which just fuels the rage. They can’t acknowledge that, so they must find someone, ANYONE else to blame rather than look in the mirror and accept the truth.
Dammit, Imma get my nerd card revoked.
I feel like this .gif is appropriate.
Nope! False dichotomy.
Furthermore, since when did I become a Mens Rights ACTIVIST? I am not an activist nor have I brought up mysandry. I love it how you people try to pigeonhole anyone who disagrees with your feminist agenda and then get butthurt when the same standard is applied to you.
But yes, I do think that racism is a bigger problem than sexism quite frankly.
@Falconer I hope the IRL LOL you got from me was worth losing your nerd card
“mysandry”
I smell sockpuppet
Indeed! You’ve forgotten the options of “he’s just more sexist than he is racist” or “he has never met a brown person ever so he just imagines they’re all like him.”
Um, gender may be a social construct but biological sex is not. Women don’t menstruate because of their societal conditioning for example. I am not going to pretend that men and women are physically indistinguishable from one another because the reality is that they are. Be mad at me all you want but that won’t silence the truth.
