Orgasms, away?
Fellas! Better hold on to yourselves, because I’ve got some terrible news for you.
Actually, you’d better NOT hold on to yourselves. Because this is the news, straight from that always 100% reliable news source, the Men’s Rights subreddit:
I wonder if manginal orgasms are still allowed?

Goes with his Diogenes-like attitude toward oral “ewww, hair!” sex.
Which reminds me: wtf is supposedly married man doing asking someone online “Do you shave or wax, because otherwise gross?” as if he’s looking for a sex partner?
Oh, and did you know a live show of Pube Terror is being staged?
PUBE TERROR THE MUSICAL: HAIR
@The Kitteh’s
Judging from his comments, (other then when he started enthusiastically endorsing nipple play) his sex life is not what he wants. Which would be sad if he weren’t such a horrible person.
One can only imagine what his wife’s sex life is like. Not that I’d want to.
blah, blah, blah, the feminist boogiemen are going to take away all the male orgasms for lulz!!! blah, blah, blah
“Oh, and did you know a live show of Pube Terror is being staged?
PUBE TERROR THE MUSICAL: HAIR”
I should write some lyrics, but gosh, nothing rhymes with the word “hygiene.”
@Shiraz: lien, hair screen.
>:)
“my jeans” or “my genes”
“ice-cream”
“thy dream”
and so on.
Awesomely, unclean rhymes with hygiene (as does pristine)
Has anyone actually, seriously argued that heterosexual sex is rape? I mean, I keep seeing this meme, but I never see a goddamn SOURCE.
Technically, it comes from Dworkin, but it is a misreading. Basically (and feel free to elaborate/correct me as this is second-hand), the heteronormative script and accompanying baggage is a script for rape. The patriarchy cannot distinguish between consent and rape. Not that actual heterosexual sex that actual people have is rape.
Okay. Because in some ways, it sounds like something so absurd I’d see it on tumblr. (They seem the types to go from, “sex with power differentials is something to think about,” to “heterosexual sex is RAPE!”) Only I saw the meme pre-tumblr.
It certainly is like playing a game of telephone with feminist theory.
Although, for all I know, one misogynist misread it, it spread, and now they all believe it with no idea why.

Argenti, lowquacks, kiwi girl: Thank you. My mind is reeling…
Really, anything ending in “-ine” or similar will rhyme properly – even Pierre’s kitty Poutine! For the “feminine” (no idea why it’s called that) rhyme used in doggerel and show-offy hip-hop and that it’d need to be two words AFAIK is all.
Yeah, or undine, Florentine, Byzantine….
Aww, the hell with it. I’ll create a sculpture instead.
Out of plasticine? XD

BREAK ALL THE THINGS >.<
Or to end the war so they can go home and get laid.
On the idea that sexually frustrated men make good soldiers…they really do think that war is a video game, don’t they? So they picture themselves sitting there mashing all the buttons in rage and killing all of the things, and assume it must work that way in real life too.
Also, I hate to be an evil feminist and point this out, but decent human beings don’t respond to sexual frustration by wanting to go out and kill people.
Well, what the MRM says does make sense from this male’s POV. It seems that ever more of what turns us on (straight non-mangina males) nowadays is legally banned by governments at worst and noisily harangued by feminists at best.
So you’re admitting you’re turned on by hurting other people, then? Or coercing them? Not by the prospect of mutual, consenting pleasure?
All porn is banned everywhere! This is totally a thing that has actually happened.
I am seriously annoyed every time someone is like, “Hair in mouth is gross! Must shave for oral!”
Dude, there are A LOT of things about sex that are gross. You get sweaty and slimy and you get saliva on each other and your parts are secreting all these bodily fluids. And besides, sometimes there are all these awkward transitions or somebody farts or sneezes or puts their weight on you the wrong way or pokes you in a sensitive (in the bad way) spot. That shit just happens! And we all take it in stride, because it’s all part of the fun, but oh noes having to fish a hair out of your mouth after making your partner come is just beyond the pale awful?
Get over it!
Also, men have pubic hair too. They are not usually expected to trim or remove it for the comfort of their partner..
Hey abnoy, let’s see some examples of things that everyday men are turned on by and are banned by governments. And some other examples of things that everyday men are turned on by that are noisily harangued by feminists (not of the straw or marginalized radfem variety, thanks).
I know right? I get hair in my mouth too, fellas! And you know what? I don’t care.
A gift for ABNOY, marginally work safe (decapitated nazi and jiggling boobs) —
Decapitating zombie nazis well makes up for the contradiction of jumping upside and not having boobs fall out (gravity, it’s a thing)
Not related at all, but I’m squatting on the “spiffytash” reddit account suggested a few threads back for Pierre’s AWOL moustache.
No idea what to do with it, but it’s been claimed and if any Men Boobzer have ideas they can have the thing.
Holy shit…is that player taking on the Butcheress in normal vision?! Duuuude… Pardon me, I can’t beat her without dilated perception.
Is the random cleavage for no reason supposed to make me laugh? Because it does.
(The cleavage on the other woman is less giggle-worthy in that it seems to occur as part of her overall outfit, rather than having been tacked on because someone decided that there wasn’t enough fanservice yet.)
Cassandra — the one in red and black is your PC, and yes, it’s part of the outfit. Of the three females characters, exactly zero do to have cleavage (one has a cutout in bodysuit just for cleavage)
I think it’s absolutely hilarious to do an upside down rotation, decapitate multiple nazis, and then land with boob jiggle. I will chop your head off, but my boobs might fall out at any moment! *dies of laughter*
The butcheress’s cleavage is definitely tacked on because boobs! but she’s hard enough to beat that it becomes trivial background noise. Is a bit silly to have the female Mengele in such an absurd outfit though.
Strewth, were they superglued into their costumes?
On the subject of hairs in the mouth – is this why MRAs seem to hate cats so much? It’s not because they’re marked as feminine/liked by women, it’s because HAIRS!
That other female character — http://www.myfconline.com/character_avatars/47749_114976.jpg
Predictably, the men are in perfectly sensible uniforms (or absurd ones that are all “look at my giant biceps!”)
Very intense Hollywood taping?
I always find blatant fanservice hilarious. I also suspect that mockery may be a more effective way to curb it than anger in the long run.
Oh this is a laugh – on the Lords of their Dingalings thread, Abnoy’s on about having enjoyed comics “since he became sentient”.
Always thought he was a robot.
I saw that, and was tempted to reply that I’m not so convinced about the sentient part.
I was thinking much the same thing – or a “When did that happen? I missed it” response.
CreepBot 2013 is alive! Well, kind of.
“I always find blatant fanservice hilarious. I also suspect that mockery may be a more effective way to curb it than anger in the long run.”
Yes! To both points. I like decapitating zombie nazis, I’m not going to get angry that they do fan service, I am, however, going to laugh my ass off when Rayne opens a door and her boobs bounce because boobs do not work that way.
Is Abnoy another sock puppet from MRAL? Ever more could be a give away.
Also, could I please have some examples of things that have been illegally banned by governments? Illegal = against the law, banned = requires legislation or regulation, so how can something be illegally banned by a government? Logic, you fail at it.
Also some fanservice is less problematic than others. Over the top zombie bits flying everywhere isn’t so much a problem because there are no actual zombies that can be hurt by the idea that it’s cool to splode zombies. With gendered stuff it gets more complicated.
The issue of who already has social capital is part of the picture too. There’s tons of fanservice in visual kei, and in its spiritual twin bishounen manga/anime, but I don’t think that’s harmful in the same way because there isn’t any pre-existing idea that men are ambulatory fucktoys to negatively reinforce.
*zombie nazis, so even when they aren’t zombies, it’s not exactly bad to kill them. There’s a certain satisfication to “oh, they’re literal third reich nazis, I have no sympathy” (actually, I won’t kill the cowering plebe level nazis, doesn’t really seem right)
Yaoi can be questionable with reinforcing negative views of GLBT people, but no, visual kei and bishounen don’t really have that problem. If anything, men in make up and fancy dress is rather count to traditional gender roles. *is entirely biased as I want men in heels and make up to be acceptable*
Yaoi does tend to duplicate some of the more questionable ideas about consent and the appropriateness of sex with underage people that turns up in dude-focused anime and manga, too. Also the bad habit of saying that a character is legally of age but drawing them to look like they’re 10 or 12.
Totally OT but this is one of the most interesting things I’ve seen in a long time – there’s a theory going around that the uptick and subsequent decline in violent crime that happened starting in the 70s might have been a result of exposure to lead via paint and leaded gasoline. I know it initially sounds wacky, but seriously, check it out.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2013/jan/07/violent-crime-lead-poisoning-british-export
No, no, it’s the flouride in the water! The Big Book of Learnin’ says so!
I thought fluoride made kids dumb not violent? That lead hypothesis makes almost too much sense — it’s been frikken’ obvious that there had to be some missing viable in crime statistics, why all variables only seemed to partial explain it. Lead almost seems to simple…of course, I’m sure that was said about why mercury in cosmetics might be a bad idea…
Crime has largely been studied from a sociological perspective, which, of course, found poverty, single parenthood, etc, to be large factors. But that article’s right, they’re also the factors that increase the odds of lead exposure.
If I had a beard, I’d be stroking it in thought right now. It does make sense, and while I’d like to see the studies, it does sound like they’d pass meta-analysis muster…could well be lead…
The fact that it tracks with when different areas started and finished allowing leaded products is particularly interesting. If this turns out to have been the missing piece of the puzzle the religious folks who want to claim that the crime wave was all about the sluts will be so mad, and the MRAs will start to look for a theory about how feminism causes lead to be added to products.
For instance, OZ banned flat-chested pornstars, UK banned BDSM, US banned child super models, Canada banned lolicon and shotacon, etc. Pedo Panic in the Anglosphere indeed!
Oh and feminists are always hassling men over the “objectification” of women in porn and elsewhere , which is why male nerds can’t have nice things anymore… BTW, I was never MRAL in a past cyberlife online .
I’m weirdly reminded about that bit in The Handmaid’s Tale: “They have no outlets now besides themselves, and that’s a crime.” The narrator is talking about how the soldiers aren’t allowed to masturbate.
Re: “all hetero sex is rape”, I’m not sure if this idea comes from Dworkin or someone else, but I’ve also seen feminists raise the question of how meaningful women’s consent is in a patriarchal culture. Not just because so many men will go ahead with or without it, but because there’s so much pressure on us to want sex, with men, in ways that men enjoy – men created and control the framework of sex in our culture, so that even when women do have their own desires and their own voices, it’s only within the confines of that male-dominated framework.
Does that make any sense? I’m not always good at explaining things.
@Emilygoddess:
You’re exactly right — the context in which Dworkin made that statement always gets stripped away when these guys spit it out. Dworkin made it explicitly clear what she was saying — that in a culture in which sex is seen as something that a man TAKES from a woman, something that the woman is meant to protect and defend against, and something that the woman definitely is not to enjoy, that meaningful consent on the part of the woman is problematic by definition.
I don’t believe that the term enthusiastic consent was around when Dworkin was writing, but that term certainly comes into play here.
Fascinating… (strokes beard) I have been experimenting with poetry. THIS IS A PUZZLE THAT DEMANDS AN ANSWER.
I’m noticing more and more that it’s becoming standard for men to groom down there, too. Depends on what age we’re talking about. Personally, I was never down with the completely bare look for myself so I only buzz it a bit with an electric razor. I find it less itchy that way and there’s no razor burn. TMI, sorry.
It’s definitely becoming more common, but they’re still not expected to do it. If a guy decided that he just wasn’t going to do any personal landscaping and announced his refusal to do so, he wouldn’t get people whining at him about his lack of hygiene and how he had made it impossible to give him oral.
This is entirely true. More of them are doing it, but there still isn’t this cultural shaming of them if they choose not to do it. And younger guys tend to be the ones who freak out if the woman isn’t completely bare. Pornification of sex, dude.
Online you can use it as a way to tell someone’s age, most of the time. It’s a tell – if a guy says something like “it’s impossible to give a woman oral if she has pubic hair” then he’s a. young and b. probably never been in a serious or long-term relationship, given that even women who go totally bald aren’t usually like that 100% of the time.
They need to watch Debbie Does Dallas and see some real bush.
Also in this case c., a troll who’s not really on speaking terms with the concept of sincerity. But you do see really young guys say things like that. It’s hard not to go directly to mockery when they do.
(If they’re trolls or being assholes in other ways then hey, let the mocking commence.)
Present for Argenti that I just ran across, since zie loves sea creatures. They filmed this at 2,000 feet.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/video/2013/jan/08/giant-squid-filmed-natural-habitat-first-time-video
Can a giant squid be pretty? They move in weird ways that shouldn’t be possible, like Cthulhu minions or something. Also mariner tales of tentacled monsters that could sink ship? Maybe not as made of fancy and myth as we thought…they do seem to attack whales…
In the UK pornography featuring bestiality and excessive violence (I believed defined as anything which would lead to genital or breast mutilation or has a strong chance of death) is illegal. I know this law was very controversial when introduced and not sure how many normal BDSM activities are covered by it.
I don’t know about US law but people can’t give meaningful consent to GBH (grievous bodily harm) etc. This can be prosecuted even against the “victim’s” will I believe.
Of course this being the stuff abony was talking about would suggest he feels the only thing men find attractive is women suffering or under age girls/boys. (Causing (with consent) minor injuries that don’t last long is legal in porn and probably impossible to prosecute in real life as far as I know)
Abnoy, do you mean rape?
Can I ask if anyone has seen this? Threcent gang rape/torture/murder in India being used to highlight misandry in India.
http://www.avoiceformen.com/misandry/a-passage-from-india/
Cool. :/
Abnoy is just spouting off the same nonsensical shit that many MRAs do. They make vague references to the “criminalization of male sexuality” but when stick their fingers in their ears and go “lalalalalalalalalalala” when asked to clarify and get specific about what exact behaviors are being criminalized.
I think they’re pissed because no one is talking about her dude friend, but he wasn’t the one who was [OH MY GOD HOW ARE HUMAN BEINGS THAT VIOLENT I QUIT MY SPECIES].
To which I reply: he was only attacked for being with a woman. If he was alone he would not have been attacked. If she was alone, she still would have been. He’s just collateral damage, not the actual target.
