Spearheader “warns” women to stop being so feministy, or else!

More mustache-twirling from the MRA crowd.

Another day, another threat – sorry, prediction – of impending violence towards women from someone on The Spearhead. This time from a fellow called James, in his twenties:

The OLDER MEN simply do not understand what it is like to be a young man today.

I will say one thing though- a very big percent of young men of my generation do not believe in this feminism or white knight bullshit, and they have very little tolerance towards it.

Older men will allow themselves to get ass raped in divorce courts, but the younger men of my generation have no such tolerance.

So if the younger women think they are going to treat the younger men with the same level of hatred that the older women do to the older men, they have a big surprise waiting for them.

1. Either the men will just entirely boycott the younger women

or

2. They will actively fight for their rights, even with force, if it requires it

What I mean by that is, the younger generation of men are much more violent than the older generation. So in plain English, if women think they are going to treat the younger generation of men like shit, then we are going to see a huge increase in violence against women.

In short, the men of my generation are not as willing to tolerate the abuse from man hating women as the older men are. Young women would be very wise to take note of this.

Unfair quote-mining on my part? Not exactly. James got 72 upvotes for this bit of wisdom on The Spearhead, and only  8 downvotes.

Meanwhile, our old friend at the Pro-Male/Anti-Feminist Technology blog highlighted James’ comment in a post of his own, quoting the whole thing, and adding his own spin:

The younger you go on average you will find less tolerance for anything pro-female.  This is not surprising.  Even looking at my own life, I have been dealing with feminism since I was in elementary school especially if we define feminism correctly as feminine-ism.  I remember (female) teachers being pro-female and anti-male going back to first grade.  As bad as I had it, it is worse for men younger than me.  They’re not going to listen to lies about how women are oppressed because all they have seen with their own eyes are the opposite. …

By 2020 the balance between men who are currently old vs. men who are currently young will have shifted.  There will be less old men who remember life pre-feminism.  There will be more young men who have spent their entire lives under the feminist jack boot.  There will be more men who are completely fed up with women.  Around 2020 there will be a lot more men willing to take radical direct action against feminism.

“Radical direct action against feminism?” What does this mean? Generalized violence against women, as James seems to suggest? Firebombing police stations and courthouses, as MRA “martyr” Tom Ball urged in his manifesto? Like most of those in the Men’s Rights movement who like to talk ominously about what they hope will be a massive anti-feminist backlash, the PMAFT blogger is vague about what exactly this might entail. But it’s not hard to connect the dots here.

Protip: MRAs, if you don’t want people to see the Men’s Rights movement as a hate movement — you need to stop posting, stop upvoting, stop even tolerating this kind of hateful shit.

  1. That woman who posts on The Spearhead and gets downvoted into oblivion

LMAOO!! Truly the MRM’s most loyal soldier!

    @Falconer
ME3 was fun (I rented it so I did a weekend marathon and finished it), but I didn’t enjoy it as much as the other two. It felt like there was much less character interaction, which set the whole “end of the universe” atmosphere beautifully, but is not something I enjoy as much in my rpgs (I had the same issue with Fallout 1 vs Fallout 2). I feel you on Skyrim man, the dust on the cover’s collecting dust right now! I’ma haveta take a hoover to it before I get back on it

  2. That class was kind of a trip. On the bright side, it was her last year teaching – she started at that school the year my father was a sophomore there. After a while we more or less let her rip and counted the days until graduation.

  3. @Crumb

Susan Walsh is the Sexual Marketplace idiot

  4. My comments are awaiting moderation. I wrote, “Domesticity is boring” in the story about young women turning to domesticity.

  5. Women… don’t… write… at… the… college… level.

I have a collection of Sappho’s poetry BEGGING to disagree.

    There’s also…

    -the poetry of Emily Dickinson
-the recorded trials of Anne Hutchinson
-the poetry (both mundane and epic) of Anne Bradstreet
an anthropology book, In The Realm of the Diamond Queen, by Anna Tsing
    -the philosophies of Hannah Arendt
-the research of Anna Freud, who founded psychoanalysis by the way, not Sigmund nor Jung
-the fictions and essays of Marry Shelley
-the fiction and essays of Virginia Wolf
-the accounts and essays of women revolutionaries during the French and Russian Revolutions
-and don’t forget the countless works and accounts of all of those evil feminazis
-the works of Émilie du Châtelet, her translation of Newton’s Principia Mathematica is still the standard to this very day
-what about the infamous Ayn Rand?
-prominent anthropologists such as Margaret Mead

etc. etc. I could go on and on and on…

  6. Zora Neale Hurston!

Murasaki Shikibu, who created the novel!

    Edith Hamilton’s books of mythology!

  7. Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi – “A Shore Thing”

  8. Whatever about Jane Austen.

  9. My comments are awaiting moderation. I wrote, “Domesticity is boring” in the story about young women turning to domesticity.

LMAO. You’re bored, aren’t you Mags

  10. Rita Dove! Marianne Robinson! The Brontes!

  11. @Shadow – here it is Friday night and I am trolling manboobz, so yeah, I’m pretty much a loser today.

P.S. – yeah yeah whatever, to everybody that wants to write, “You’re pretty much a loser everyday.”

  12. Murasaki Shikibu even had female rivals.

    Izumi Shikibu

    Akazome Emon

    Sei Shōnagon

  13. I’m always learning something new at Manboobz. :)

  14. Boggi also mentioned two other libertarian writers other than Ayn Rand.

    Isabel Patterson

    Rose Lane

  15. RE: Maya

Augh, how could I have forgotten Sei Shonagon? I AM BAD JAPANESE MINOR.

  16. And my senior honors English teacher told me we were only going to read male authors because “women don’t write at the college level.”

    wut.

    Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn.

    qft.

  17. I know. Tell that teacher to GTFO.

  18. @Mags

here it is Friday night and I am trolling manboobz

That seems run of the mill. When you’re willing to troll The Spearhead OTOH, that’s more of a giveaway. S’all good, I still envy yo ass. All I got to look forward to is a fat J, and a much fatter textbook

  19. SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS FOR MASS EFFECT 3

@Shadow, all of the ME games seemed like they had a short main campaign and lots of things to go look at and poke.

In this one I got a sidequest I never seemed to be able to continue because I never found the right thing to click on, and now I seem to be past the point where the game decided I could not complete it.

Also everybody’s getting heroic deaths left, right and center. I’m like, Nooooo my pretties I didn’t grind you up to 30th level just for a cut scene to kill you in the next game! … and also genuinely moved sometimes.

  20. ozymandias42:

Yeah, I had an ex-partner with ADD. ADD is a real thing that actually exists, and that sort of mental illness denialism pisses me off to no end. Adderall IS probably overprescribed, though.

QFT. I’m not sure I agree about overprescription, since the meds either work or they don’t, and it’s pretty easy to tell the difference when they’re working.

    amnesia:

I failed my college classes and lost my job the last time I went off my ADD medication. Somehow I don’t think the ‘feminist’ education system, table/desk configuration, or even the hardness of the chairs had anything to do with it.

As another adult with ADD, who should have been diagnosed as a kid, and would have been if I were 10 years younger, but had to self-diagnose as an adult and drag myself to a psychiatrist to get on the meds I needed in my mid-20’s (it was the major depression that finally pushed me into making the multiple appointments and waiting the multiple months to see a psychiatrist and then to ramp up on the drugs that worked for me), this ignorance among the older generation really pisses me off to no end.

While there’s no end of people saying stupid shit on the Internet, because it affects me so directly, ADHD denialism is the one thing that people write that gets me palpably angry and wanting to respond with facts. Thanks to the regulars here for covering the major bases already.

The real problem is this conservative insistence on belief in Randian free will, a.k.a. the Prime Mover who makes all the right decisions all the time. They literally can not understand something like homosexuality or ADHD because they can not imagine another human being who feels and thinks and functions in a different way and with different sets of limitations than their own. They just assume since they can concentrate on stuff, and they’re comfortable with their gender and they’re attracted to the opposite sex, and so on, so they just assume everyone else should naturally be the same as them.

And continuing the discussion from the other night about health care, and how it’s not right for poor people to suffer with health problems that they can’t afford to pay with due to our screwed-up employer-based system. I had a gap of 9 months between quitting my last job in disgust (it was a company that got acquired by Microsoft, and then was driven into the ground due to sheer incompetence) and interviewing (and getting the job, yay!) at Google. I had to pay for my own meds during that time because there’s no way I could’ve gotten my stuff together to successfully get through the interviews at Google. If I couldn’t have afforded to do that, I would’ve been even more messed up than I was (the Danger/Microsoft gig gave me PTSD for a good year or so because it was so stressful and made me so angry at their stupid decisions)… Anyway, enough on that. Everyone should have health care in this country. It’s a shame that some people are so selfish as to want others to suffer for their own smug ignorance of their own privileges.

  21. Oh, for extra Lulz (at Antz’ expense), I have to mention this bit of trivia: Bradley’s Benzedrine Studies on Children with Behavioral Disorders:

In 1937, psychiatrist Charles Bradley administered Benzedrine sulfate, an amphetamine, to “problem” children at the Emma Pendleton Bradley Home in Providence, Rhode Island, in an attempt to alleviate headaches; however, Bradley noticed an unexpected effect upon the behavior of the children: improved school performance, social interactions, and emotional responses. Drawing on Bradley’s published articles on his experiments, this paper explores the historical context of his experiments and the effect this background had on the emerging field of child psychiatry. Bradley’s studies went largely ignored in the field of child psychiatry for nearly 25 years. However, they proved to be an important precursor to studies of amphetamines like Ritalin and their use in conditions such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Bradley’s Benzedrine trials were thus highly influential in shaping modern objective understandings of children with behavior disorders.

I fail to see the feminist conspiracy in this.

  22. Sorry Crumbelievable, my “Susan Walsh?” was for David’s list of women MRAs online. I’m rarely in sync with the threads. And just when I catch up, it’s after midnight for a lot of you. Pacific standard time makes us wet coast people look like night owls and slug-a-beds.

  23. Looks to me like more of the same: cheap shots, lies and threats.

They always seem go on about this violent apocalyptic future where poor helpless women will come back to them begging for protection. It’s rather laughable really; No guys, we’ll just learn to use weapons and take care of ourselves. Just like you will.

  24. The question I always want to ask is, protection from who? These guys sound like the kind of people who in that scenario women would be looking to be protected from, not by.

  25. @seranvali

if you haven’t learned to use weapons already, it’s pretty much too late.

  26. magz, so the manpocalypse is imminent?

  27. Oh, God, poor Dawn on the Spearhead. On the new W.F. Price thread she advises one of the guys to spank his wife when she gets out of line, among other comments, and the dudes are still scolding her for not being anti-woman enough and downvoting any comment she posts that isn’t just “men should be in charge of everything and women should grovel before their might, oh you poor baby men and the terrible pain you suffer from those nasty other women expecting to be treated like humans.”

Damn, girl, at least find a site where the condescending head-pats aren’t handed out quite so grudgingly. This is way too much work for the measly payoff you’re getting.

  28. I fail to see the feminist conspiracy in this.

I agree. MRAs are demagogues and bitter, smug assholes. That’s all they are.

  29. David, did you know that girlwritescrap did a video complaining that a new rape law includes penetration of fingers or anything (she doesn’t like that, rape only happens with Penises)… and the penetration can be “ever so slight” and the act can be counted in the rape stats? This is a huge problem for her as it’s not fair if you want to poke someone’s vagina or anus just a little bit or get your finger in there just a touch…without their consent…then that should be some other statistic, not a rape statistic. HUGE problem, I guess.

Please please please, one day… do a GWW post. This is not a derail, because you said her name. OK it’s a derail, sorry. That’s my request. I know that you’re likely saving up the big guns for that post. You’re waiting until it will be the most epic post ever, that’s what’s going on . Probably.

Also, regarding the thread here. Are we really posting names of female authors because someone said that women don’t write at the college level? (saw that in a block quote). I’m sorry, but that is so absurd that the proper response to that is just LOL. To start naming them is to suggest there is some way to name them, reminds me of Ali G’s interview with Noam Chomsky where he wanted to count words with him… and Noam was not going to count how many words in the English language there are… so Ali G started without him, “there’s spaghetti”… Sorry guys we’re not really counting female people that can write at the college level are we? I tried to find the orig post, but my skimming abilities suck.

Incidentally, just hours ago, I found online one of the greatest short stories of all time, in my opinion. It’s by Flannery O’ Connor and it’s called Revelation. She was fantastic.

  30. *damn, it’s not a new “rape law”…it’s the way FBI collects stats, pretty sure.
    I need more coffee.

  31. I’m actually not that worried about the manpocalyps.

Most Australians don’t keep weapons of any sort and certainly don’t keep brandishing them in other peoples faces and making threats, Also for the most part Australian men don’t seem to have the vitriol towards women that American MRAs do. Of course, it may be that I’ve been somehow sheltered from all of this by living in a very peaceful city and having really nice men around me but somehow I don’t think so. I just think that most Australian men have no desire to “rise up” and enslave women.

The MRAs keep telling us that this is going to happen all over the world and that women are going to be brough “to heel” but I don’t see the vaguest shred of evidence for it. All I see is a tiny bunch of sexist American men beating their chests and making pointless threats about “fucking our shit up”.

Their only real value is as comedy.

  32. Their only real value is as comedy.

If only they didn’t appeal so much to mainstream opinion. But maybe I’m freaking out over this idea a little too much.

  33. You’ve gotta love the desperate way they all claim that guys are totally about to start boycotting women anytime now for serious, and meanwhile most of the other in the world are just ignoring them. They must picture themselves as the “It’s a cookbook!” guy from To Serve Man.

Well, yeah, what if you accidentally stuck your fingers up someone’s butt? Happens to me all the time — I’ll just be walking along and then suddenly I notice my thumb happens to be planted in someone’s anus. It’s one of those little foibles of modern life.

  34. @Dave
“Protip: MRAs, if you don’t want people to see the Men’s Rights movement as a hate movement — you need to stop posting, stop upvoting, stop even tolerating this kind of hateful shit.”

Just because someone or some entity advocates violence, doesn’t make them a hate movement. Would you’ve blamed the peasants for violently oppossing the bolsheviks? Or how advocating violence against pol pot?

Advocating or committing violence against tyranny and oppression is a commendable act. The only people who would disagree would be those who reside in the authoritarian camp of the tyrannical.

  35. >>tech-industry guys with crazy entitlement issues that probably stem from getting paid fifty times what they’re worth

Communism 101: If we were paid fifty times what we’re worth, tech companies wouldn’t be making profit. Profit is the part of plus-value that capital steals from labor.

I prefer to think of it as ‘tech industry guys being paid a lot closer to what they’re actually worth than people in many other fields, due to the fact that the job hasn’t yet been deskilled and Taylorized to death’.

  36. Maya:

Their whole point is to freak you out and frighten you. This is one of the reasons this blog is such a good antidote to this kind if bullshit. They scream really loud but their numbers are tiny. It’s just big talk and threats, threats they can’t realize because of the anonymity of the net. Most people in the real world don’t even know what they are. Laugh at them and you deflate both their hyperbole and thier massive egos.

Also, the crap they talk is nowhere near mainstream where I live and I’m sure it isn’t in many other parts of the world. I quite understand that it would frighten American women, where it is close to mainstream but most of the rest of the western world offline? Maybe something akin to a sideshow? I know also, that it’s scary seeing so much hatred directed at you from one place but that doesn’t make their ravings any more than the outpourings of unbalanced minds. Their fantasies of Gorean control over women, sexual slavery and “the just you wait, we’ll get you!” are just that. The fantasies of a mind that is so lacking in empathy and a world view so distorted that they can’t even see us as independent human beings.

Don’t let them rattle you, they are “all sound and fury, signifying nothing.”

Just a little tidbit that might amuse you. I give choice articles from the Spearhead, AVfM and David’s commentary to my eighty two year old father. He laughs like a drain over them! He says he simply can’t imagine anyone would be that stupid, never mind that offensive. And you should hear what he has to say about the PUA crowd!

  37. Already men are boycotting women- over 50 percent of American women are unmarried.

Open your eyes ladies and see the truth- you are already destined to grow old alone with your 10 cats.

  38. CassandraSays:

“The question I always want to ask is, protection from who? These guys sound like the kind of people who in that scenario women would be looking to be protected from, not by.”

Exactly! Why would you turn to them for anything at all? Especially when we already have lovely partners who wouldn’t dream of abusing us? It makes no sense at all. I’d be running as fast as possible in the opposite direction! And then, of course, there’s the minor point that with a little reading, a little training, some knowledge of the land and a hunting weapon or traps we could do quite OK alone or as a member of a group. For example, I have a really lovely sixteen year old niece, kind, smart, funny and an Olympic level archer. You really would not want to piss her off if she has a bow in her hand! Now, if my niece can shoot at that level after 18 months training, I’m sure I could bring down a kangaroo if she were to teach me how. And if not there are lots of other kinds of “bush tucker” that are much easier to gather, catch and butcher. Having camped off the land I have a pretty good idea where to look and what to do when I find it.

  39. Now, if my niece can shoot at that level after 18 months training, I’m sure I could bring down a kangaroo if she were to teach me how.

I wouldn’t want to shoot a kangaroo. I might only wing him and make him mad. Now I don’t want to tangle with a maddened kangaroo, but perhaps that’s only because here in North America deer are not accustomed to kicking a man’s head off from a standing start.

  40. If you wing the kangaroo and he comes running at you, you can always use your JACK BOOTS OF FEMINISM to crush it to death.

  41. I guess that MRAs believe that only they are ruthless enough to survive the end of the world. I don’t think they’ll like it much if law broke down, because that would leave the wider community open to deal justice as it sees fit. And the wider community wouldn’t have much tolerance of wife beating.

  42. I wonder how many Canadian MRAs there are? I’ve seen a few online, but there aren’t many Canadians who subscribe to their points of views, and while there are evangicals here, they don’t have the same viewpoints as their US bretheren.

  43. Speaking of women writers, the Spearhead is celebrating the death of Adrienne Rich

    According to Price

These pioneering feminists were defined by their struggles, but now that they’ve had their way, there really isn’t much left to fight for, and they will simply grow old and die alone, or with their “sisters.” Most will not have children, and there will be nothing to remember them by.

if there is nothing to remember them by, why is he writing an article about her? In the first paragraph he says obituaries keep popping up that sound “absolutely worshipful” obviously she was remembered and esteemed. Unlike MRAs who only have their cult followers and us making fun of them.

It amazes me how these people can live with themselves each day being so full of anger and misery. Poor suckers.

  44. Falconer:

“I wouldn’t want to shoot a kangaroo. I might only wing him and make him mad. Now I don’t want to tangle with a maddened kangaroo, but perhaps that’s only because here in North America deer are not accustomed to kicking a man’s head off from a standing start.”

No, you certainly wouldn’t want to leave it injured. They usually don’t come after people, though, not if they have a clear means of escape. If you corner them, though, they are truly formidable. They use their tail like a leg and stand on it and kick with both hind legs. A fully grown red buck can take down a six foot man without trying. That’s why I’d want my niece teaching me. She doesn’t miss and she hunts with her bow already.

They’re amazing beasts and I’d hate to have to hunt them but we’re talking about the manapocalypse here and kangaroos are really good eating, healthy , taste great and no fat, and will feed a lot of people for a long time if you smoke the meat. The Aborigines have been hunting them for thousands of years and it’s really interesting looking at their hunting strategies.

  45. Seriously, I need to be reassured that these ideas aren’t becoming more and more common in the ‘real world’ as well, because sometimes it really seems like it. It also seems like there are just so many MRAs online, turning up everywhere, even in comments on articles that have almost nothing to do with their various obsessions. I know I am a paranoid person, though, so I’m probably not the best judge.

  46. @Sharculese

I see the origins of your confusion.

im not confused im just calling you a liar.

  47. It occurred to me a little while ago that, while mostly harmless, we have a few deer-related deaths here in the US every year. And it’s not like our wildlife isn’t dangerous even though we like to think everything in Australia is out to get you (even the rabbits). Hell, every so often someone gets it into their heads that great big grizzly bears are just the most precious big fuzzy babies and ends up digested.

    @ ddebbaasserr

    JACKBOOTS OF FEMINISM

We were supposed to be issued those? ‘Cause I turned in my jackboots of patriarchy +2 when it occurred to me that women are people, too, and if I knew I was supposed to have jackboots and they weren’t going to be issued I’d have kept ‘em.

    @ magdelyn

if you haven’t learned to use weapons already, it’s pretty much too late.

Pfft. Please. All I have to do is multiclass into fighter, and I’ll become proficient in simple and martial weapons and with all weapons and armor (even tower shields), like, overnight.

  48. @fatcat

I completely know what you mean. Everyone keeps telling me they are a fringe but I’m not sure. To an extent yes, but I think there are more than just a few bloggers. Like you though I’m also a paranoid person. Like they see feminism everywhere, I see MRAs everywhere.

Stepping offline helps. Everytime I go out I see men and women both young and old hanging out, talking, laughing…as friends or as couples. Its reassuring because it confirms their is indeed no gender war.

I think on of these days I might invest in a self defense course though. In general on the internet there are a lot of violent people who sound 1 step away from snapping. Its creepy.

  49. @ Quackers

Yes, exactly, I tend to see it everywhere, even in probably innocent comments. Another problem for me is that I don’t have all that many friends in real life where I live right now, and those that I do have tend to be quite… conservative. It really gets me down sometimes.

By the way, I wanted to tell you that a lot of the comments you make on here really resonate with me

  50. @Falconer, I know right? Live bear fur isn’t even soft, it’s sort of greasy.

  51. @Falconer, I know right? Live bear fur isn’t even soft, it’s sort of greasy.

I’m glad you have gained this life experience and lived to tell about it.

The idea that there used to be bigger bears in North America sometimes keeps me up at night. I find this perverse because you’d think I’d be saddened yet relieved that they are extinct.

Alternatively, long legs and speed (50–70 kilometres per hour (30–40 mph)) may have allowed [Arctodus] to run down Pleistocene herbivores such as steppe horses and saiga antelopes in a cheetah-like fashion.

    Better … or worse?

  52. @Falconer

    Better … or worse?

I don’t know, but definitely cooler.

  53. Dearest James,

I’m sorry to poke holes in your argument, but I grew up with young men, am also in my mid-late twenties, and in spite of my gender identity, am still perceived by those who do not know me well as a young man. I have yet to meet any man my age who falls into the characterization you offer of being fed up with women and feminism, nor intolerant or disbelieving of feminism.

Furthermore, I have not met any young women who fall into your characterization either; indeed, most of them seem to find the company of their young men friends quite enjoyable, regardless of whether their friendship is platonic or more intimate.

  54. @Quackers @fatcat

Well in truth the issue is that a lot of MRA tropes are actually mainstream tropes, though not to the misogynistic extent that MRAs display in day to day life. I can understand how despairing it looks if you intend to be with someone who doesn’t *ever* say something that is anti-feminist, as opposed to be okay with someone who is *mostly* aware of the issues but slips once in a while. And even us feminist men can be looked at suspiciously (since maybe we’re just putting up a front to get into your pants).

  55. @ Blackbloc

I certainly don’t expect to be with someone who never says anything that is offensive to me, but the thing is, a lot of the people I know, I can’t have one conversation with them without them saying something offensive. A lot of them seem to take it for granted that men and white people are now the ones who are being disenfranchised. If I even say (nicely) that I don’t agree, they will often roll their eyes or say something like ‘I’m sure your life is so hard’ sarcastically. I find this behaviour rude, even if they don’t agree with me they could be nicer about it. But of course expecting someone to agree with you all the time is unrealistic.

  56. @Falconer, bears usually leave you alone if you don’t go and mess with them. If you’ve got a big property, sharing it with a couple of bears doesn’t cause much trouble. They like salt though, so if you put out salt blocks to attract deer, the bears will eat the salt up.

Also, the bear I touched was sedated, which makes it marginally safer to touch them and look at them. Though it was those sedatives where they are conscious but can’t move, so you could see her watching you (this was probably a traumatic experience for the bear). It was a black bear though (that’s what they’re called, though this one was literally brown), so a bit smaller, she weighed like 300lbs. Also, this happened at school. I wonder who came up with the brilliantly hazardous idea to have the park service bring a sedated bear to the school so that some of the kids could touch it and look at it, though that was super cool.

  57. Peter-Andrew: Nolan(c)

    David,
the rapid and dramatic increase in violence against women has already started more than 4 years ago. This year has seen a MARKED increase in men killing women and children.

This is because women INSIST on being able to criminally abuse men. Here are the news stories. By the way. I OPENLY tell young men that since women INSIST on committing criminal acts with impunity the ONLY way to defend themselves before we get our courts running is to take justice into their own hands. And the only such justice that works is the kind that leaves no witnesses. This is what men like YOU promoted and provoked. Now you are going to try and weasle your way out of being AT CAUSE in the murder of these women and children.

“Well in truth the issue is that a lot of MRA tropes are actually mainstream tropes, though not to the misogynistic extent that MRAs display in day to day life. I can understand how despairing it looks if you intend to be with someone who doesn’t *ever* say something that is anti-feminist, as opposed to be okay with someone who is *mostly* aware of the issues but slips once in a while. And even us feminist men can be looked at suspiciously (since maybe we’re just putting up a front to get into your pants).”

I have experienced very little MRA-level sexism in the real world. I’ve witnessed some slut shaming, some “but maybe men are just more ATTRACTED to high-paying jobs!” or “despite their near-identical resumes and equally glowing references, I just feel like he is more qualified than she is” and I’ve witnessed a lot of sexism-via-cluelessness (the dude who never thought to help out more with the kids because it is so socially expected that the mother be the primary care taker it doesn’t stand out to them as inequitable).

And in some ways that is harder to deal with, because you can’t just avoid them or cut them out of your life the way you (hopefully, if you’re lucky) can with the MRA-types. These are good people who have picked up some bad social conditioning (and that’s all of us, for one issue or another). But it’s also a hell of a lot less scary than a world full of violent MRAs.

In my experience, most men do not hate women. Most men have no desire for violence against women. Most men (and again, speaking from personal experience here, there is not data on this to my knowledge) are appalled by MRA-level hatred against women.

  59. Quackers, oy. I knew it would only be a matter of time before MRAs started celebrating Rich’s death.

Indifferentsky, I’m not saving up for a GWW post. I know I should do one. It’s just that I hate hate hate watching MRA youtube videos.

Also, everyone, NWO left a little poop in this thread. Scroll up; it’s on this page. It’s the comment advocating violence.

that sucks that all your friends are conservative. I mean I’m sure they’re nice people I just sympathize that you don’t see eye to eye on a lot of things. My friends tend to be either liberal or don’t really care, especially regarding issues on gender.

I’m glad my posts resonate with you though :) cuz sometimes I wonder haha

    @BlacBloc

That’s very true. Ami was telling me the same, that these tropes are mainstream though not expressed as hatefully. The most prevalent ones I notice are the women are liars and women are golddiggers tropes. MRAs think they’re rebellious free thinkers but this is shit that’s been around for ages.

I don’t necessarily require a boyfriend or a friend to be a feminist, especially knowing how rare pro-feminist men or even women are these days anyway, but they damn well better believe in equality of the sexes and not perpetuate misogynistic myths. I’m pretty forgiving of slip ups, especially since I don’t even consider myself the best feminist, but it’s pretty much a requirement that anyone I am friends with/date not consider themselves anti feminist and especially not MRA, or else there is no way we’d get along haha.

  61. @NWO

oh boy! now in addition to being like nazis, feminists are like bolsheviks too! don’t you have anything better to do on a Saturday? like hanging around a forum where the people don’t think you’re a piece of shit?

  62. Everyone thinks NWO’s a piece of shit, I’m guessing. At least here he knows we’ll answer him.

  63. In general, you know, “we’re a violent movement” is answered with “no, we’re not,” not “OUR VIOLENCE IS JUSTIFIED!”

Also I love the “we’re not allowed to abuse women, therefore we should abuse women” pseudologic.

  64. Peter-Andrew: Nolan(c)

    @Quackers,
one of the reasons I do not discuss feminism with women or manginas is because they do not look into the details of feminism. Feminism is communism in drag. The basic premises of feminism are in the communist manifesto.

By the way? The NAZI reference is valid. Hitler was a BIG TIME feminist and it was the national SOCIALIST workers party. The nazis were jsut as far left as the communists. The painting of the nazis to be right wing is a simple lie. One that is very easy to see through since the NAME of the party tells you it was a leftist party.

Given that feminists like David try to pander to women without doing the slightest bit of reading means he gets no respect among men. And you women will throw him under the bus like Hugo.

  65. Peter-Andrew: Nolan(c)

    @ozymandias42
women claimed equality. Therefore I can hit a woman and use violence against a woman under the SAME conditions I would do so with a MAN.

    Those conditions are:
    1. You hit me first or you attempt to harm me.
    2. You attempt steal my property.
    3. You are a complete pain in the arse and you do not leave me alone when I walk away from you.

I have never had to hit a man off the football field because ALL men know these three rules. I was attacked by three men in Bucharest who tried a sting to steal my laptop. They walked away because I told them I would kill one of them if they tried stealing my laptop. I was attacked by a pack of 6 wild dogs. I made the dogs understand that death was on the cards for one or two of them.

Alas, women are not as smart as dogs. Women provoke men past their tolerance believing they have the “womens privilege” that a man musst never hit them while violence by woman against men is presented as humour.

Well? James gave you fair warning. The laughing is over. Now we are serious. The next woman to hit me is going to get smacked into the middle of next week. I am 187cm tall and 105 kgs. It might well be possible that if a women hits me and I hit her back that I will drive her jaw right back through her brain. And I would not have ANY more of a problem with that than women had with the kidnapping of my children and the theft of my house.

This clips shows you what is going to happen in the west real soon now. Dont say you were not warned. Spread the word. Women who hit men are likely to get hit back because YOU CLAIMED EQUALITY.

  66. Creative Writing Student

^ Yeah, forcing women to stay home and be broodmothers is SO feminist…

  67. You’re going to have to elucidate on Hitlers being a feminist. Because right now you sound ridiculous.

Any credible links on your claim?

  68. God, good thing you’re here discussing feminism with us then, PAN. Weren’t you going to change your last name or something? Shame that you took out that copyright on Nolan already. You man-innovators and man-inventors! Maybe you should patent your next name. Ask Tom Martin how to do that.

  69. Just remember Nolan, not everywoman is going to be helpless. So take your infantile and impotent threats elsewhere. Your tripe is quite boring, we can assure you.
