Some MRAs are rallying around Herman Cain because he’s not “bowing before the golden hoochie.”

So some MRAs are rallying around Herman Cain – not in spite of the sexual harassment allegations against him, but because of them.

On The Spearhead, W. R. Price notes that Cain has gotten a flood of new donations since the scandal broke. His conclusion:

The support for the conservative candidate suggests that the decades-old trend of male helplessness in the face of female accusations may be coming to an end.

Other Spearheaders are a bit more blunt:

It is refreshing to see a man (politician or otherwise) in the spotlight stand up and defend himself against a P.C. hatchet-job such as “sexual harrassment” when so many before him did the whiney-baby kiss-up “I was wrong” pandering while bowing before the golden hoochie.

Meanwhile, white and nerdy on Omega Virgin Revolt (yes, that’s a real blog) has actually put his money where his mouth is, sending along a donation to Cain.

I usually don’t bother with voting.  Everyone running for most offices is either a liberal feminist or a conservative feminist.  To me that is no difference.  However, if Herman Cain is still in the running by the time my state’s primary happens (and if he is the Republican nominee) I will vote for him.

Herman Cain is now dealing with at least three women who are claiming that he sexually harassed them.  Public figures who were accused of sexual harassment in the past didn’t take on their accusers directly, but Herman Cain did.  He pointed out how what is happening to him is a false accusation.  As a result of this Cain has received hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations in the last few days.  One of those donations was my donation.

This may not seem like much, but this small act as made Cain more anti-feminist than all of the other candidates for president.

Notice that in white and nerdy’s version of the controversy, Cain has “pointed out” that he’s being falsely accused. Actually, what Cain has done is to deny that he harassed anyone. At this point, we don’t actually know enough to judge definitively whether the allegations are true — though the fact that the National Restaurant Association paid out tens of thousands of dollars to settle the cases makes me a bit skeptical of Cain’s denials. But apparently, in W&N’s brain, there’s not even a chance he’s guilty of anything other than standing up to the dirty feminazis.

One of the commenters on Omega Virgin Revolt is even more enthusiastic about Cain than the blogger himself. Jack writes:

If Cain becomes president, we might actually see an end to the incessant pandering to women by the mindless political class. It’s about time that a politician stood up and declared that women have responsibilities in life and are not entitled to a free ride. Cain might actually do that.

Over on Reddit, meanwhile, OffensiveBrute doesn’t defend Cain so much as he defends not giving a shit about sexual harassment:

I say even if Cain is guilty, who the hell cares? Sexual harassment is illegal, but not immoral. well not the kind that Cain is accused of anyway.

Skooma714 offers a similar take:

He didn’t even touch them. They probably hear shit like that on the DC Metro everyday.

They probably are over it. They want to get some paper and attention.

And, yes, both of these comments garnered some upvotes.

Of course, not every MRA out there is rallying around Cain. On Reddit, there are plenty of MRAs who are suspending judgment on the allegations, or who dislike Cain because he’s, you know, a right wing asshole. Over on The Spearhead, the only ones who seem to have an issue with Cain are those who, well, let’s just say that they probably also think burning crosses make great lawn decorations:

Black men are notorious for their sexual escapades, their testosterone being greater than that of White Men – as is their level of rape accusation. He may be innocent but he may just as well be guilty of a real indescretion.

I am happy to report that this comment got a lot of downvotes there; not every Spearheader is a raving Stormfronter. Of course, it says something about the general political and social backwardness of the site that those Spearheaders who are defending Cain from the crudest Klan-tastic racist attacks are doing so basically because they think he’s a credit to his race:

If the Blacks in America were like Herman Cain, this country would be measurably better for it and most of us would be hating on someone else.

But don’t worry: On The Spearhead they can still all agree on one central point – that women are evil, lying whores. As Keyster put it, in one of the most-highly upvoted comments in the thread:

What this indicates is that people are fed up with political correctness and the feminist/sexual grievance industry. …

In the new Femocracy you can’t date them, you can’t marry them and you can’t even work among them, without risking untold trouble for life. Is it any wonder men are distancing themselves from women, if not abandoning them altogether? How’s a man to know whether she has a “false accusation bomb” strapped to her waist or not? If you’re a man among women stay alert, you’re outside the Green Zone.

Will MRAs end up rallying around Cain in the way they rallied around Julian Assange and Dominique Strauss-Kahn? Or will something – his political views, his race? – prevent them from jumping on the Cain train? I guess we’ll just have to see.

  1. @Trollin’MRAs
“PROTIP for NWO: Homophobia is crazy unpopular in the west, dog! Even among the libertarian-leaning Reddit MRAs, hating gays makes either makes you a Flying Spaghetti Monster worshiping poor, or a superstitious 3rd-world mud person! Even your own kind want no support from you!”

No doubt you believe your own propaganda, dog. But go to like yahoo or something and read the comment section whenever some pro-gay PR is posted. The commenter ain’t shoveling the party line anymore.

Hate is your realm as well as mockery and shaming. Which of course has no effect anymore. It has as much meaning as your spaghetti worship, 3rd-world mud person screed. Pretty standard feminist stuff. No content, do as I say or I’ll screech like a crazed maniac. Ho-hum.

  2. @NWO: I have been homeless too. And my own observations show men are far more generous and helpful than women were. While I was homeless in Boston, most of the time men would help with money, cigarettes and food. Some even would buy me lunch as they were coming out of fast food joints. In the three months I was sleeping on an emergency blanket, I had maybe 2 women buy me coffee and most women wouldn’t even offer a cigarette when I even tried to buy one from them.

  3. The people I know who have been or are going to be put in jail for failure to pay are asshats of the first order. Sometimes, the only thing that will get through is the threat of losing one’s driver’s license, having one’s pay garnished, or yes, going to jail.

  4. Hate is your realm as well as mockery and shaming.

Says the man who wants a rape-slave.

  5. No doubt you believe your own propaganda, dog. But go to like yahoo or something and read the comment section whenever some pro-gay PR is posted. The commenter ain’t shoveling the party line anymore.

…So you really don’t know the difference between activism and trolling.

    I’m shocked, shocked!

Meanwhile Brandon is sinking into his usual Brandon-centric musings of “I think feminists and MRAs are equally wrong, but gosh, women sure do suck.”

  6. I love that comments on Yahoo are the Voice of the People now. Well, I suppose it’s a step up from Youtube.

  7. Brandon, you’ve said repeatedly that you couldn’t care less about anyone besides yourself and select friends/family. Yet when these women you encountered did the same thing, it was wrong?

Oh wait, right. It’s not just that you act in your best interests, it’s that EVERYONE is required to.

  8. @Lauralot: I am not really making a judgement call on that behavior. But it would be silly to say that I didn’t notice it.

  9. “It’s just an act most people find disgusting.”

Which act would that be? Because the vast majority of sexual acts that gay people do, straight people also do.

  10. “I am not really making a judgement call on that behavior.”

“And my own observations show men are far more generous and helpful than women were.”

    Yeah, no judgement there.

  11. have been homeless too. And my own observations show men are far more generous and helpful than women were.

Certainly seems like a judgment call. And, you know, an example of confirmation bias but, whatever. It’s terribly interesting, as noted, that you notice qualities like helpfulness and generosity and choose not to display them. Kindness and generosity, just like meanness and selfishness are completely gender neutral.

  12. @Hippo: So I saw that men gave more than women. And your point? Did I make any negative statement about the women? Nope.

  13. Yeah, nothing negative about saying women weren’t helpful or generous to you.

  14. We really do need to figure out how to attract a better class of troll here.

  15. @Laura: It’s only negative if I thought they should help me. I didn’t expect them to help me and I didn’t get in a tizzy if they said no.

  16. Throughout my life, it’s been my experience that males treated me worse than females. Without going into details, I was treated badly by guys at school, and some in my family. Women were always nicer to me and offered more support and kindness.

I noticed it too. So if you’re trying to assert Brandon, that your life experience with non generous or meaner women represents all women, then I could just as easily say the same thing about men, that they are non generous and meaner thus representing all men.

That would be wrong to say obviously. So I wonder why you’re even bringing that up? or are you purposely trying to start a men vs women debate? Trollers gonna troll I suppose.

  17. Also, regarding the ladies who didn’t want to sell their cigarettes to a homeless stranger they know nothing about: If a woman gets close enough to a homeless person to give them a cigarette and gets assaulted, I’m sure, given Brandon’s comments about drunk women being raped and the like, that it would be the woman’s fault for not exercising more caution. Yet if she doesn’t give a cigarette because she’s suspicious, then she’s probably stereotyping as well as being unhelpful and stingy.

  18. Why on earth should generosity and and helpfulness even matter to you, Brandon? Don’t we have dozens of your screeds to refer to in which you explain, ad nauseum, that you aren’t like the rest of us, have your own morality, wouldn’t go out of your way to help a stranger, and see the value in selfishness?

Weren’t you just saying how selfish you think it is for society to ask individuals to support it?

  19. Brandon doesn’t care if women help him or not. He doesn’t care so much that he posted it here in response to NWO going on about how superior men were in helping others.

  20. @ Lacroix

As a lawyer, nothing annoys me greatly than the whole ‘presumption of innocence’ logical fallacy.

this is basically the appealing to ignorance fallacy right?

  21. @Lauralot: It’s cute when you are wrong.

  22. Holly:

If MRA’s were serious, they’d start the Men’s Charity For Men’s Causes, not sit on the Internet crying that women didn’t do it for them, the state didn’t do it for them, why hasn’t someone gift-wrapped a social movement for us?

In a way it’s testimony to the success of feminism, that people like Slavey and a couple of others have no idea of the work that went/goes into it. If people think God created feminism on the eighth day, it’s because the strides it’s made have obscured the struggles.

    Brandon:

I just see feminists and MRA’s are the opposite sides of the same coin.

Amazingly, “feminists do X, and that’s bad, therefore we should get to do X also” makes less sense, not more, when X isn’t really something feminists do.

  23. Brandon: It’s cute when you’re patronizing and clueless at the same time. So, like, always.

  24. That’s a shame, Brandon, it’s not cute when you are.

And it’s double not cute when you play the “I’m not saying it’s bad to be a bitch, I’m just saying women are bitches, also it’s bad to be a bitch, also I didn’t say that” game.

  25. Unfortunately, our trolls are all suffering from early-onset dementia, and have absolutely no short term memory. I guess it isn’t their fault, because they’ve had hard lives. They could start a charity for themselves, but that would require gettin’ away from the postin’ machine for more than 5 minutes.

For the record, the ‘mud person’ and FSM comments were making fun of Redditors. They can be an obnoxious bunch of dudebros, but I forgot there’s a *vastly inferior* comment hole on the interwebs:

    YAHOO!!!

I always wondered what kind of pond life posted there, now I know. I was expecting MOAR confederate flags.

  26. If MRA’s were serious, they’d start the Men’s Charity For Men’s Causes, not sit on the Internet crying that women didn’t do it for them, the state didn’t do it for them, why hasn’t someone gift-wrapped a social movement for us?

I think it’s a combination of: 1) plain old laziness and 2) thinking that the work involved is beneath them. I’ve tried to figure out other possible explanations since I’ve personally known and worked with men who began charities and nonprofit organizations. But I’ve got nothing. Ranting on the internet is easy and free. The work involved in creating a successful program that accomplishes goals and helps people is difficult and can cost money.

  27. @ozymandias42
“I find eating meat disgusting. Am I allowed to ban eating meat? I have way better ethical arguments for vegetarianism than anyone has for being against gay people, and the ex-carnivore programs have a far higher success rate.”

Not these tired compasisons again. If it works for you it’ll work for me. Teasing a man with sex is the same a taunting a starving man with food. If your’s works and get the big thumbs up from the gang so will mine.
    ———————
“Because, you know, stuff like RAINN and the breast cancer people also help men; I don’t think there’s a whole lot of charities that only help one gender ”

RAINN? Why not feministe? It’s about the same. You don’t think there’s a whole lot of charities that only help one gender? Google it sweetheart. Try any Guv site, Corporate site, UN site. Just google it. If you’re going to act all intelligent, don’t act dumb.
    ———————
“I agree that men being imprisoned for not paying child support sucks (although, you know, kid still needs food). I just don’t think it’s, yanno, slavery.”

It cost’s 65k for that 6 months of imprisonment in my scenario for a $3,900 debt. About 17x the cost of the mans debt. It has nothing to do with the debt, it’s about punishing men. Kidnapping, extortion, prison.
    ———————-
“I’m sorry you were homeless, NWO, even people who want to have rapeslaves and think Russian and Spanish have the same alphabet don’t deserve that. It’s a hard life and I’m glad you have a home now.”

Words and actions dear, they’re two seperate things. C’mon, you’re a college girl, majoring in Psych or something. Do a little experiment for me, just for shits and giggles. Make up two charities, one for homeless men only and one for homeless women only. I’ll wager you $1000.00, to a charity of your choice the womens only charity you start will recieve massive support, but the mens only charity will recieve at most 10x less and might even be banned.

I give you my word I will pay. Keep in mind $1000.00 is a world of cash to a man of my means. In order for this wager to be legit, you can’t influence in any way. Just two exact flyers, one for men and one for women. I give Dave permission to give you my email address. I will even send him a check for that money. Remember, just flyers, no other verbal promotion or anything. Are ya game? I’m game enough to take your word on the results. Ain’t that a leap of faith?

  28. @Laura: See…there you go again.

@Holly: Ya..because making an observation somehow equals “women are bitches”. Nice strawman you are building.

  29. I gotta say, I haven’t commented here because it’s like.

“MRAs rally around an icon of the party of misogynists.”

is on the same level as

    “Sky is blue.”

Literally the only surprise here is that they can manage to be only as “Credit to his race” racist

  30. So NWO can’t even accept a genuine piece of compassion regarding his homeless situation without twisting it into something about how women are evil.

What a sad, empty life you must live.

  31. NWO, why don’t you start a charity for homeless men?

  32. RAINN does help men Slavey. This is what I got in an email after donating to them:

Thank you so much for your generous gift to RAINN.

To show you just what a difference your support will make, I would like to share a note that RAINN received from a hotline user:

“I was falling apart one night as I was having memories flood back of incest I suffered as a child. I called the hotline and was talking to someone who cared. I got through that night and many others since then. Thank You, RAINN, and all who support RAINN!”

    — Josh, hotline caller

  33. It’s been my observation that women are often rewarded for walking down the street wearing modest clothing with street harassment. This suggests to me that the solution to NWOslave’s complaint about women being insufficiently helpful to needy people on the street is more feminism. I call it the Owly Paradox.

  34. I wouldn’t give money to a charity that only existed in the form of a flyer, regardless of which gender it was for. That’s either a scam or a really amateur organization that may have no actual plans how to spend that money.

You could do a fundraiser for a existing homeless shelters, but it wouldn’t be quite as easy to make sure that everyone who was donating was doing it to spite the other gender.

  35. @Nobinayamu
“NWO, why don’t you start a charity for homeless men?”

Quite simple. The only donations I would recieve would be from men like myself who are barely able to keep afloat. It’d be unsustainable. Men are hated by society. Turn on your TV, listen to your State leaders, your corporations, your news casters. The pitance men like myself can afford to give is laughable. That $1000.00 wager’ll set be back like 6 months if I happen to lose, (unlikely).

  36. The only donations I would recieve would be from men like myself who are barely able to keep afloat. It’d be unsustainable.

Today I learned there is no such thing as a rich man.

Men are hated by society. Turn on your TV, listen to your State leaders, your corporations, your news casters.

    …They’re mostly men themselves.

Whether they’re allegedly self-hating or whateverbullshit, they’re not powerless, they’re not voiceless, and they’re definitely not all poor.

  37. I wouldn’t give money to a charity that only existed in the form of a flyer, regardless of which gender it was for. That’s either a scam or a really amateur organization that may have no actual plans how to spend that money.

Well, I was going to point this out but Holly ninja’ed me. Yes, charities of any merit do not generally solicit donations through flyers. Chinese restaurants solicit via flyers.

Quite simple. The only donations I would recieve would be from men like myself who are barely able to keep afloat. It’d be unsustainable. Men are hated by society.

This is a lie. You are making shit up. The actual real work that I do involves charities that help men exclusively. The revenue sources are varied but include aid from both the state and federal governments as well as significant donations from patrons and individual donors. There are corporations and small businesses, men and women, rich and middle-class and lower middle class. People help who exist just above the poverty line through volunteering, mentoring, etc.

You are lazy and would prefer to spread lies around the internet than actually roll up your sleeves and work to help anyone, regardless of gender.

What you wrote is a lie.

  38. NWO, if you can barely stay afloat, why are you trolling manboobz instead of going to work?bootstraps!!! we know that any government help is for smelly socialists anyway.

I’m not exactly well off myself but I still manage to donate here and there. Like to RAINN. Which sent me a thank you email from a male caller. Which you conveniently ignored. As usual.

  39. No doubt you believe your own propaganda, dog. But go to like yahoo or something and read the comment section whenever some pro-gay PR is posted. The commenter ain’t shoveling the party line anymore.

In NWOland, everyone knows that actual studies and surveys are FAR less reliable as gauges of public opinion than comments on Yahoo news stories. Obviously!

    Never change, NWO.

  40. evilwhitemalempire

    Yes we CAIN.

  41. If you’re going to act all intelligent, don’t act dumb.

This is one of the best comments ever in the history of the Internet.

Also, the last homeless guy I tried to help out (I don’t give cash but I do give leftovers or stop into a nearby store and buy someone a sandwich sometimes – of the last 10 people I’ve helped, 9 have been men) immediately started following me down the street, screaming about my “pussy pussy pussy tight little cunt little pussy” etc. etc., so maybe the MRA world could cut me some slack if I cross the street to keep some distance between me and our local residents of no fixed address for a while.*

But then I bet that happens to men all the time, amirite?

*And then send my annual holiday giving checks to the local food bank which helps both men and women, Big Brothers/Big Sisters which helps more boys than girls, the Family Acceptance Project which helps youth of all genders, and The Heifer Project which has no gender agenda whatsoever…

  42. Jill the Spinster

Hey milk slave, have you heard of Movember?

    http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Movember

You can grow a moustache and raise money for men’s charities and, like, help men.

  43. Hadn’t heard of The Heifer Project before, so looked it up. Sounds like a great thing to support :)

  44. …And, just as I described, NWO proceeds to make up a “fact” (men give TEN BILLION times as much money to charity than women), admits he’s making it up and it has no basis in reality, then starts arguing as if it were a real thing. Eventually he gets all worked up over the horrible injustice of the imaginary situation he invented. It’s amazing to watch.

I dunno… is it really unusual or praiseworthy to give a couple dollars to a homeless guy? I do that all the time. That’s just a normal human thing.

  45. I dunno… is it really unusual or praiseworthy to give a couple dollars to a homeless guy? I do that all the time. That’s just a normal human thing.

Absolutely. And when I lived in London, it was statistically far more likely that the homeless person would be male.

So despite being completely gender-blind with regard to this, it’s almost certainly the case that I gave considerably more money to homeless men than to homeless women. Although I’m pretty sure the ratio wasn’t quite up to 10 billion to one.

  46. NWO:

I worked for several years at a rape crisis centre. It was a feminist agency, run on a shoestring, entirely from donations and mostly run by volunteers. About 15% of our clients were male and for many years the feminists were the only agencies in the city that offered rape crisis counseling to men. I’ve also been instrumental in setting up men’s shelters, job search agencies and fundraising for other men’s charities, so don’t preach to me about how feminists don’t care about men. It’s bullshit. If you care about them you should be out there doing likewise, rather than moaning about it on the Internet and blaming us because you can’t be bothered.

  47. So. NWO is impoverished.

–Wait, what is he doing in a Herm Germ thread? He know Cain said this, right?

So. Is he a masochist AND a sadist? It’s looking very possible. I would suggest checking out fetlife, but those people don’t want you either.

He’s going to think I’m ‘cruel’ for pointing this out, but he deserves it. Go back to the first post he made in this thread, and have a LOL. Women should ‘suck it up’ and deal with sexual harassment, and apparently poor people, including himself, ‘deserve’ their lot in life.

Slavey just wants everyone to be as miserable as he is.

  48. Arielle Shander

So these dumbasses will vote for anyone that was accused of sexual harassment or rape, even if they’re not the best candidate for the country?

I didn’t even like Herman Cain before the sexual harassment thing. I doubt he’ll win anyway, though, thankfully. It’s just that the idea of MRAs supporting someone just because they’re “not a feminist” or because “they don’t let no women tell them what to do” shows that they’ll vote for someone based off of that alone. Fuck that.

  49. NWO, as always, you’re full of shit. Right on the Capitol Square in Madison, we have a Catholic shelter that’s for men only, and a YWCA for women. And Madison doesn’t even have as large of a homeless population as other cities.

  50. Jill the Spinster

Milk slave, I hope you are growing a moustache for Movember and are collecting donations for prostate cancer charities and male mental illness.

Otherwise you are just being a whiny voice on the Internet .

  51. Men give 10 billion times more than women?

Google “Who gives more to charity, men or women?” And this is your 1st result: http://cbsnews.com/fullstory.rbml?feed_id=0&catid=6977659&videofeed=36

(Hint, OWLY, in case you don’t want to read it: The answer is “women”, and you can’t say they’re spending their husbands’ money because they only surveyed single people.)

Now it’s possible that all those women are only giving to NOW or whatever nefarious organization runs the Title IX police, but it’s more likely they’re giving to the usual run of poverty and disease related charities – cancer research, United Way, hospitals – or their churches. Which serve both men and women.

Not that it matters, of course, because you’re just going to start ranting about Big Daddy and call me a slut for wearing a parka or something.

  52. So. NWO is impoverished.
…Slavey just wants everyone to be as miserable as he is.

Perhaps NWO is being paid what he’s worth. That was, after all, his sentiment on a thread about the wage gap.

  53. I just got the Fridge Logic laugh of realizing that NWO thinks MRAs can’t start their own charity because starting a charity is really hard and no one will do it for them… and NWO thinks starting a charity just means putting up a flyer.

Apparently Big Daddy State has a deathlock on our once-great nation’s supply of inkjet printers and pushpins.

  54. Holly:

Today I learned there is no such thing as a rich man.

Of course not. Their wives control all their money.

  55. Here is a line directly quoted from the FAQs of a men’s homeless shelter in Charlotte, NC:

“Our budget is very lean at $2,675,000. We serve over 500 men per night, 365 days a year for less than $20 per guest per night. Each man we serve has access to all of our services for that cost.”

So, if $10 billion is donated to women’s causes for every $1 of men’s, that means that this one charity points to 2.67 x 10^16 being spent on women’s causes. That is OVER 2.57 QUADRILLION (which is 10^15…10^16 doesn’t have a name that I can find).

The world GDP is 63 trillion.

Nope. The math does not work.

If you’d like to donate, here is the link to the shelter’s site:http://www.mensshelterofcharlotte.org/index.php

They handle about 500 homeless men each day (every day) and last year were able to get about 150 into permanent housing.

  56. More math: NWO has claimed that he makes about $18 an hour and works more than 40 hours a week. He is apparently childless, too old to have student loans, despises modern medicine so I’m guessing he doesn’t have big medical bills, and lives alone in Texas.

Yet $1000 would set him back 6 months.

I’m not saying he’s rich, and certainly people can have all sorts of unfortunate financial circumstances that I have no right to know about, it’s just… well, as people trying to convince me that they’re impoverished go, he’s not the richest person to try it, but I’m pretty damn sure he has more than $165 spending money in a month.

I know this is “paint job on the Titanic” and also sort of intrusive. But it’s kind of intriguing piecing together all the bits of the NWO puzzle, and looking at the hilariously mismatched abomination that results.

  57. “Unsustainable” is also a funny thing to call a charity that’s been going for over 30 years.

I have a feeling that NWO’s idea of a good men’s charity would probably be unsustainable, though. The one I linked provides substance abuse counseling, job search resources, and GED classes in addition to physical needs like food, clothing, shelter, showers, and medical/dental care.

If you add classes on the tyranny of women and explanations of the horrible ways in which men are oppressed by women, I think the funds would suddenly dry up.

One of these things is not like the others.

  58. You know HP, me and my spouse make over $300K a year, but we still feel rather poor.

  59. Sherman McCoy, the protagonist in Tom Wolfe’s The Bonfire of the Vanities, made nearly a million dollars a year (and in the 1980s!), but he also felt rather poor.

But I suspect the passage where he mentally itemised his income and expenditure before reaching that tragic conclusion was intended to be satirical.

  60. That’s nice, Mags. In other news, toothbrush fruitcake lollipop frog.

  61. Happy MRM anniversary to me! A year ago today I joined the MRM.

It takes a surprising amount of time to cleanse a man of a lifetime of feminist indoctrination. Even now, after a full year, I am occasionally surprised by how evil and vile feminism is:

    http://radicalhub.wordpress.com/2011/10/04/radical-feminism-in-the-21st-century/

Reading through the comments is even more salutory than the story itself.

  62. NWO’s comments are particularly hilarious because I’m interning this summer as a blogger at a men’s mental health charity.

    I’m a sociology major.

RAINN helps male survivors, you twit.

NWO is not very clear on the definition of “analogy”, is he? ‘You think that people should be allowed to ban gay marriage because it’s disgusting; therefore, you believe people should be allowed to ban disgusting things; I find eating meat disgusting; therefore, you believe in banning eating meat.” That is a logical thought process. Countering that with “yeah, well, teasing a man with sex is like waving food in front of a starving man!” is… not.

How do I tease someone with sex? Does it involve clothing (WHAT DO SLUTS WEAR NWO?) or making out with them and then saying no? What if the man is already quite well-fucked and therefore not starving?

  63. Yeah, AntZ, not every feminist is a radical feminist. Just like every man is not a hateful MRMer.

  64. It takes a surprising amount of time to cleanse a man of a lifetime of feminist indoctrination. Even now, after a full year, I am occasionally surprised by how evil and vile feminism is.

Did you see what I did there?

  65. It is a short feminist pamphlet advocating a biological final solution to the problem of men and boys. The exact method by which men and boys would be eliminated is left open to discussion. Here are some of the ideas:

“… some of them are already implementing biological solutions that we are only just now beginning to discuss, like dispatching their male babies immediately after birth …”
    — FCM

“There have been compelling scientific proofs that men, because of their Y chromosomes, are doomed to extinction anyway…”
    – Maggie

“Females don’t have to kill baby boys. Just not nurture them … males will die without the constant infusion of female energy …”
    –Mary Sunshine

“I’m so glad that you and others are open to considering a biology-based analysis of what is wrong with men.”
    – vliet

“Even if we killed off 90% of men, the majority of women left over would do their best to keep the oppressive system. I’d dare say we’d have to kill off all the women too and leave the little girls and radfems to create the utopia.”
    – Lilith

“The *magic number* to bring the males under control is ~30% of the population (roughly 2 females per male) … the men have managed to kill themselves off with a lot of warring, then the women get into politics and make a lot of community-friendly political decisions … so much for the MRA scare tactics of a matriarchy being just the reverse of a patriarchy.”
    – DaveSquirrel

“My Vision:: A world where mothers are in charge, every step of the way … A world where males are shunned by everyone & punished severely …”
    – patriarchywatch

“Women need to stop raising male children … nobody wants to bite that bullet (except lesbian separatists) but it must be done.”
    – Mary Sunshine

“More importantly, I think womyn need to stop giving birth to any more males…”
    – Maggie

And finally, some heart warming comments by the loving mother of a little boy:

“… the not raising male children one is difficult one for me as I have one!! I mean, we need female children and I’m so glad I have a daughter. SHe was my first, perhaps I should have stopped at one …”
    – cherryblossomlife

“… look at animals… Females live together in groups, they *are* the community, and men hover around the outskirts fighting and killing each other. Let’s go back to the way it’s supposed to be, I say.”
    – cherryblossomlife

“It’s *men* that are redundant due to their high fertility. They should be fighting each other, fighting for the right to pass on their genes: survival of the fittest *man* is how it really should be.”
    – cherryblossomlife

  66. Start your own blog Zarat. Nobody is interested in your derail.

Even better, start your own charity. Your cyber-lover fantasies and internet-warrior activities aren’t actually doing a thing to help men and boys.

As for being poor vs. feeling poor – it’s complicated. Suffice it to say, NWO is not poor by global standards and -with no wife, children, or elderly parents to support- unless he is lying (entirely possible; likely even) about his rate of hourly pay and the number of hours he works he is not poor by U.S. standards either. If he lives in an expensive city he may definitely feel pinched.

But he isn’t poor. He’s just a lazy liar who, like Zarat, believes that his trolling is some sort of activism and that being completely dishonest is fine in their imaginary “war”.

  67. No one cares, Antz. The difference between radical feminists and all feminists has been explained to you many times, but you refuse to pull your head out of your ass long enough to read it.

    Go build a robot.

  68. Further math for perspective:

If NWO’s view of $10 billion to women’s causes for every $1 to men’s causes is true, that means the budget of the men’s charity linked above (just one charity) would imply that 423 times the money is spent on woman’s causes than then entire world GDP.

But, of course, there’s more than one men’s charity in the world. So the potential is more like thousands times the world GDP being spent on women’s causes.

Order of magnitude: it makes a difference.

  69. “However, if Herman Cain is still in the running by the time my state’s primary happens (and if he is the Republican nominee) I will vote for him.”

Did it strike anyone else that White and Nerdy apparently doesn’t know how primaries work? I am relieved that MRAs continue to be foiled by their own ignorance.

  70. @Laura: Really? What is the difference? Because from my standpoint the difference is radical feminists are open and honest about there beliefs of hating men.
