Some MRAs are rallying around Herman Cain because he’s not “bowing before the golden hoochie.”
So some MRAs are rallying around Herman Cain – not in spite of the sexual harassment allegations against him, but because of them.
On The Spearhead, W. R. Price notes that Cain has gotten a flood of new donations since the scandal broke. His conclusion:
The support for the conservative candidate suggests that the decades-old trend of male helplessness in the face of female accusations may be coming to an end.

It is refreshing to see a man (politician or otherwise) in the spotlight stand up and defend himself against a P.C. hatchet-job such as “sexual harrassment” when so many before him did the whiney-baby kiss-up “I was wrong” pandering while bowing before the golden hoochie.
Meanwhile, white and nerdy on Omega Virgin Revolt (yes, that’s a real blog) has actually put his money where his mouth is, sending along a donation to Cain.
I usually don’t bother with voting. Everyone running for most offices is either a liberal feminist or a conservative feminist. To me that is no difference. However, if Herman Cain is still in the running by the time my state’s primary happens (and if he is the Republican nominee) I will vote for him.
Herman Cain is now dealing with at least three women who are claiming that he sexually harassed them. Public figures who were accused of sexual harassment in the past didn’t take on their accusers directly, but Herman Cain did. He pointed out how what is happening to him is a false accusation. As a result of this Cain has received hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations in the last few days. One of those donations was my donation.
This may not seem like much, but this small act as made Cain more anti-feminist than all of the other candidates for president.
Notice that in white and nerdy’s version of the controversy, Cain has “pointed out” that he’s being falsely accused. Actually, what Cain has done is to deny that he harassed anyone. At this point, we don’t actually know enough to judge definitively whether the allegations are true — though the fact that the National Restaurant Association paid out tens of thousands of dollars to settle the cases makes me a bit skeptical of Cain’s denials. But apparently, in W&N’s brain, there’s not even a chance he’s guilty of anything other than standing up to the dirty feminazis.
One of the commenters on Omega Virgin Revolt is even more enthusiastic about Cain than the blogger himself. Jack writes:
If Cain becomes president, we might actually see an end to the incessant pandering to women by the mindless political class. It’s about time that a politician stood up and declared that women have responsibilities in life and are not entitled to a free ride. Cain might actually do that.
Over on Reddit, meanwhile, OffensiveBrute doesn’t defend Cain so much as he defends not giving a shit about sexual harassment:
I say even if Cain is guilty, who the hell cares? Sexual harassment is illegal, but not immoral. well not the kind that Cain is accused of anyway.

And, yes, both of these comments garnered some upvotes.
Of course, not every MRA out there is rallying around Cain. On Reddit, there are plenty of MRAs who are suspending judgment on the allegations, or who dislike Cain because he’s, you know, a right wing asshole. Over on The Spearhead, the only ones who seem to have an issue with Cain are those who, well, let’s just say that they probably also think burning crosses make great lawn decorations:

I am happy to report that this comment got a lot of downvotes there; not every Spearheader is a raving Stormfronter. Of course, it says something about the general political and social backwardness of the site that those Spearheaders who are defending Cain from the crudest Klan-tastic racist attacks are doing so basically because they think he’s a credit to his race:

Part of “presumption of innocence” is the right to defend oneself vigorously, without bigoted feminists interpreting the defence itself as evidence of wrongdoing.
We support his right to say “none of this is true.” Let the courts decide if it is true or not, and let no one claim that a black man who is falsely accused of something has to bow his head in shame and plead “mercy, mastah!”
More than anything else, liberals hate “minorities” who reject the liberal religion of hatred and apartheid. That is why Thomas was publicly lynched by feminists, and that is why Cain is being publicly lynched by feminists.

What do you reckon the ratio is of men helping women exclusively financially as opposed to women helping men exclusively financially? I mean if you really think about it there are countless womens only charities, scholarships and such, where men, from the lowest to the big boys who donate billions a year. Yet how many women donate to mens only charities? In fact, the higher up a womans position of power and wealth the more likely she seems to go out of her way to not only not help men, but to actually scorn any attempt at helping men.
My guess would be, that for every 10 billion dollars men donate to help women exclusively, women donate 1 dollar to help men exclusively. What do you think the ratio is? And as I already pointed out, women who make more seem more likely to scorn any attempt at helping men. I can’t see more women being given wealth and power by the State as a road to progress, or help for men. More feminism seems ill-fated for men.

Well that’s an easy one. I’ll just use one example of many forms of State enforced slavery.
A man works and pays his taxes, his wife divorces him and gets child custody.
He of course pays child support for which he is graciously allowed visitation rights after fighting and losing equal custody in court.
So he has paid, with his taxes, to have his children kidnapped and is now being extorted.
He then loses his job and can’t afford to pay, (under the Bradley ammendment, there is no excuse not to pay), feminist law.
He of course is arrested and imprisoned, which was/is paid for by his taxes.
The ex-wife gets subsidized by Big Daddy and also get’s the child support the imprisoned man isn’t paying while in prison. His taxes have also paid for this.
We’ll say the courts ordered him to pay $150.00 a week in child support. In 6 months, when he is released fro prison, he’ll be $3900.00 in arrears to the State, jobless, penniless, homeless and now has a criminal record. The ex-wife still gets subsidized, plus the child support is being tacked on to this mans State debt.
This man has paid to have his children kidnapped, his own extortion, his own imprisonment, (debtors prison which theoretically has been abolished). This is only one example, but it sure sounds like slavery to me.

While men and women have some biological differences, in many ways the way we are “programmed” to behave is due to societal influences.
As a lawyer, nothing annoys me greatly than the whole ‘presumption of innocence’ logical fallacy. The whole ‘presumption of innocence’ concept can be summarised thus :
Criminal sanctions will be not visited upon a person until they have either pled guilty or been demonstrated (or ‘proved’) guilty in the appropriate Court of law. The onus is placed on the prosecution to prove guilt, and not the defence to prove ‘innocence’.
The way this gets warped re allegations of sexual assault boggles the mind.
“[X] is entitled to the presumption of innocence, therefore until I see proof, I will assume that [Y] is a stinky, lowlife, lying woman.”
“But if she’s lying, she’s committed perjury, which is also a crime. By your logic, Isn’t she also entitled to the same presumption of innocence? How can you then call her a liar?”
“BLAARGGGH [false rape allegations] GRRRRR [men are the real victims] BRUCCH”
“And the worst part is being cold. Ya just can’t seem to shake the cold out of your bones.”
I thought the worst part was going without food for two hundred days.

I find eating meat disgusting. Am I allowed to ban eating meat? I have way better ethical arguments for vegetarianism than anyone has for being against gay people, and the ex-carnivore programs have a far higher success rate.
I donated to a charity that helps people with TB tonight. Do I get points because it probably helps men and women equally, or does only donating to charities that only help men count? Because, you know, stuff like RAINN and the breast cancer people also help men; I don’t think there’s a whole lot of charities that only help one gender (although there are a lot that have disparate impact on one gender over another).
If I had a shitton of money I would create a scholarship for men going into traditionally female occupations. Sadly, I’m a starving college student who will evolve into zir starving writer form, so no such luck. :(
I agree that men being imprisoned for not paying child support sucks (although, you know, kid still needs food). I just don’t think it’s, yanno, slavery.
